Episode 4
bobcobb30113 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
For a show that only has 6 episodes in its first, and potentially only, season do we really need an attempt at a twist at the end of each one? We went from wondering about Mason's wife at the end of last week's show to now wondering if Nadia is a mole. Of course she won't be, but they'll have to add that element all throughout next Friday's show.

Citadel is good for some fun fight scenes and a few snarky remarks each week ala The Fast and the Furious movies or a Marvel flick, but outside of that it is just really underwhelming.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas deserves a good TV role and I just don't know if this is it.

Now it's just dumb
BLAlley12 May 2023
Five minutes into episode 4 and I had to turn it off. Mason not being good at close-quarter combat can be excused since he's unable to regain his memories (an already dumb idea), but Nadia has been restored and still has no idea how to handle a weapon of take out opponents by hand.

Again, these were supposed to be elite agent, yet Nadia fires a few shots and then inexplicably starts fighting with her weapon still in hand, even using it as a blunt instrument which puts her at risk of losing it or having it taken away. No one would stop shooting to start beating an enemy instead of using a single head shot to take them out. Worse, it keeps happening. They also seem to have only brought one magazine of ammo (perhaps a lazy excuse for the clunky hand-to-hand?).

Citadel is supposed to be an elite covert agency yet everyone we've seen is incompetent, whether allowing enemy agents to walk away or getting themselves captured over and over.

This show looks more like the dumbed-down trash put out by network television than a streaming show with no creative constraints. I guess you can;t constrain what isn't there.

Mid season blues

Oh dear!

I have give above average marks for this show so far but this was a definite filler with not a lot of action and only a few characters - I guess the big budget was having an off day when this was filmed).

Don't let me put you off, sexy Scorpio Ashleigh Cummings is great eye candy but the action of previous episodes is ominously missing with most of the show being studio based so there aren't even a y breath-taking vistas to view and take you away from the limited script here.

I have enjoyed the show til now. As a regular bingewatcher, I guess the week's wait for each episode is off-putting and now my free month on amazon prime is up. Should I renew it to see the rest of the series? I have a week to tbi k a out it but I am not hopeful.

Only thing this show has going for it is action scenes, and this has none.

Warning: Spoilers
If you made it through 3 episodes hoping it would get better, it then you'll need to keep the hopes up.

There is a decent scene early on with, but then it starts jumping all over the place trying to use a flashback as storytelling mechanism. It fails. The acting is so unbelievable and unrealistic. The actors have little to no connection with their characters as you'll find out watching scene after scene of typical budget action dialogue.

Literally nothing progresses from the first 5 minutes to the last. Its a filler episode that does nothing to establish any character.

You can tell the actors all wanted this to be a break out series but the way its been put together and rushes through the plot is a complete disaster.

If it was low budget I'd understand, but the money put into this means its up for serious scrutiny.

Filler episode with nothing much going on
bmanojreddy914 May 2023
This episode was very boring. Despite 30 minutes of runtime, it seemed to harbor a meager 10 minutes of substantial content awkwardly drawn out to fill the remaining time. There wasn't much going on and there was a lot of talking and drama. Most of the scenes didn't add to the story and I hope this doesn't set the standard for future episodes.

There weren't any action scenes and we're so disappointed having waited an entire week for this to air. The first episode was excellent and it's been going downhill since then.

I'm not sure what happened but the show seems to have lost its way. I hope they turn it around in the never episode.

Tell Her Everything
Prismark1025 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
An action packed opening disguises what really is a listless episode.

Mason and Nadia go to a Manticore black site in Morocco to save Citadel agent Carter Spence. There is a lot of action as they fight off Manticore baddies. Only Carter Spence is of the opinion that Nadia is a mole.

The rest of the episode consists of more flashbacks. A new agent is introduced, she is Celeste who is meant to infiltrate Anders Silje criminal enterprise and recover the Oz key. Celeste is also the woman who is Mason's wife.

Her mission failed and she was out of contact with the Citadel for some months. Celeste's memories were erased.

By the end of the fourth episode, all that happens is that there is a mole inside the Citadel and it could be Nadia, Bernard or Mason.

A disappointing episode that really did not add much.
