A PETA undercover investigation took place at Miyapo egg farms in Japan that supply international mayonnaise maker Kewpie. PETA urges Kewpie to ditch eggs, because of shocking cruelty found in the egg farms. Sick and injured hens are kept in small cages and can't even spread their wings. Many hens pull out their own feathers due to stress, while many others suffer from prolapsed vent due to being forced to produce far more eggs than they'd normally do. Hens entangled in the wire mesh of their cages are just left to slowly die in pain and agony, and the decomposing corpses lie and rot next to their living cage mates. Nothing gets better when workers have been found brutally grabbing chickens, painfully twisting their wings and dropping them from the second floor of a building, while unwanted birds have been stuffed into plastic bags just to suffocate to death.
