- With a few months left on his four-year sentence, criminal mastermind Neal Caffrey escapes from maximum security prison to save his relationship with his girlfriend. FBI Agent Peter Burke, the man who had chased him for years and had finally caught him, is called in to track him down. He easily finds Neal at his girlfriend's apartment, deflated and defeated. She has completely disappeared. Back in prison and with four years added to his sentence, Neal decides to make a deal with Agent Burke to help him in finding other master criminals. The deal is made and Neal is released, with a GPS ankle monitor, of course, into the custody of Agent Burke. The uneasy partnership proves a success and Neal becomes an official FBI consultant, living large, to Agent Burke's astonishment and frustration, in a wealthy widow's guest-room. Neal, also, secretly brings in an old friend to help him find his girlfriend.—ley-moon
- FBI Agent Peter Burke is puzzled to be asked by the brass to assist the US Marshalls in catching gentleman master thief Neal Caffrey, who incurs four years extra in prison for a failed escape, desperate over his lover Katherine leaving their apartment. Also having arrested him is the first place, Burke realizes his exceptional skills and accepts, after an initial refusal, to strike a parole deal: Neal gets out with an ankle bracelet to help catch another art thief who keeps outsmarting the FBI. Neal proves invaluable, outsmarting art experts and fiends, while morally infuriating Peter by scoring in an single day an upgrade from the FBI-provided flee-bag motel to a luxury penthouse apartment with the wealthy, stylish widow of a late fellow gentleman criminal. Just when Burke thinks Neal made a run for it, extending his monitored moving margin, that proves his way to mobilize for the arrest of the criminal mastermind behind the caught art thief he had fatally silenced by a fake lawyer before he could betray the plot only Neal can guess.—KGF Vissers
