"You can't be a parent to everyone"

With half the characters out of Ramsay Street at the moment, you do wonder if the actors all got a better offer. The least interesting parts of the episode are, once again, the scenes of Steve getting nowhere fast.We know there's been a car crash and sitting around waiting for someone else to find out is frankly boring. In fact, it's hard to care about the fate of any of the characters involved, especially when presented with more interesting characters.

The Ramsays hold the attention best because they're among the few characters who haven't become annoying yet although if we get another episode that seems to be full of the same scenes(Kate acts responsible but goes a bit over the top, Harry sulks, Sophie bemoans that things aren't the same anymore)that could soon change.Kate and Sophie in particular can be quite sparky characters when they're written right and Kate's scenes with Declan are among the best things on offer here. Harry needs to tone down the anger at some point even though Declan was out of line storming into someone else's house and trying to throw him out.Again there's no real reconciliation between him and Kate, they just go back to business as usual, which could come back to bite them eventually.

Susan once more seems to be campaigning for sainthood and instead coming across as having a superiority complex. At least Toadie steps in and does the job for her even if Susan is the one who gets all the credit.
