What do y'all mean by "woke"
heatherdmayberry11 August 2022
The writing at times can be a lil tough to get through, but the people complaining about the show becoming too "woke" need to realize that gay and interracial marriages do happen, and the people like y'all are the main reason we need more diverse shows. Keep going Netflix!

What the hell are y'all talking about? It was a good episode

Warning: Spoilers
Why does this episode have so many negative reviews? Do you all automatically give negative reviews to anything involving women, LGBTQ+ people, and Black people? Not everything is part of the so-called "woke agenda," believe it or not.

Anyway, good episode overall. Beautiful wedding, and it turns out Emilia Jones can sing. Plus, it'll be interesting to see how Ty's story pans out. If there is one critique to give, it's that there's not a lot of action in this episode, except near the end and it's a short action scene.

But overall, it's a good episode. Don't listen to the Jordan Peterson wannabes here on IMDB.

Meh

In my opinion, this episode in itself wasn't so great. It just didn't hit the same. But there are some important things in it. Trust me, it gets good.

I can't believe this show hasn't been canceled at this point. 3 seasons of absolute unadulterated stupidity. Imagine what competent writers could have done with this source material, and characters that weren't complete idiots.

Going downhill

Duncan and bode's mother don't know how to act. Every emotion they have the same face.

I don't understand why create artificial scenes so that Kinsey ends up saving Tyler at exact time. Probably if they had spend some time in storywriting and reviewing, would have done it better.

Only reason for 6 stars is uniqueness of the show.

Bode

Sorry but Bode became super annoying and know it all in this series. Has he never seen any film involving going back in time? Perhaps the best time for Netflix to cancel.

They have done it again

Seasons 1and 2 we're very enjoyable. Season 3 has destroyed a great program, thank you Netflix you Muppets. I can't understand why they keep doing this, just for a few dork's on twitter.

Loosing the magic
shayenu13 August 2022
I loved the last 2 seasons of Locke and Key, and the first episode of the third season to be fair, but I feel this episode was hardly advancing any plot, and it lost what made the show 'different' to others in that sense.

I gave it a 5 because I feel it was a somewhat forced episode, just thrown in there for no reason and to show the whole choreography/ turning out of a wedding which could've easily been shown in a few scenes but actually dragged on for a whole half hour.

Other things happened that were relevant to the plot whilst this wedding was going on, but what we were shown on screen for most of the time was relatively boring for a while and was definitely not the Locke and Key I pressed the play button to watch. Ultimately, viewers like us need to stick to the magic that Locke and key gave us for 2 seasons, not a wedding!

Source Material
Rob-O-Cop15 August 2022
I found this episode annoying and dull, but its content was in the source material of the comics.

Duncan is gay in the comics, and it has a sizable role in the plot, and there is a gay wedding in the comics too, his husband is Brian Rogan who in the comics is not black.

Nina does go on and on about her alcoholism in the comics too, which I find very boring.

So the source material is responsible for the annoying story lines aspects but the makers of the series are the ones that chose to accentuate them and put them in over the many other story lines aspects in there comics they could have chosen in a quite long series that was squished into 3 TV seasons.

I love the core concept of the series, the mystery of the keys and the interesting concepts they investigate with this premise. But there's a lot of misjudged and not interesting aspects to it too.
