Mixed feelings
ingamazonaite25 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I've got mixed feelings from this documentary.

The beginning is boring and two stories are mixed together. You need to really focus.

Now about these daughters- I disliked both. One of them smiling for camera, when she tells, that her father kills 5 people. She was SMILING. And I was sitting there with my jaw dropped and tried figure out what lines does she has and if it was worth to showing this to public. Because, common now, - her father shoots 5 people- and she founds that amusing.

Now second daughter. With intellectual disability again.

Was hard to watch her and even harder to feel symphaty. For her. And for her father.

Her father stole tge show there. What an absolute monster, absolutely horrible human being.

I thought interview with him would suit for anti death penalty activists, because he is perfect example for death penalty. Death penalty is invented for people like him. It made me physically sick to watch interviews with him.

As father, as daughter

I was shocked and totally disgusted by this Battaglia guy AND his sick ass daughter... She was happy that her sisters, murdered by their dad, 'did not have to live through what she did'. I mean... how low can you go...???!! She is a very messed up girl, as narcissistic as her dad, portraying herself as a bigger victim than her baby sisters that got killed. They should have executed her too, that sickoo! Her sisters were the victims, not her. She probably likes the attention, which is completely wrong/ sick/ disgusting in this situation. It is a pity that society does not react to these kind of sick persons. Women are not tend to kill as heartlessy as men, but if she were a son instead of a daughter she probably would have raped, if not killed yet. And, I'm sorry to tell you, I'm a psychologist.

Her mother was in her right mind though. She got the picture clear.

A very hard watch

Warning: Spoilers
Very hard to watch! This made me rethink my view on death row. I've always been more against it than for it because of innocent people being executed or those without a fair trial. In this case I wanted it! After the first episode I've never wanted someone to face death more. He openly wishes he'd killed his wife to 'teach her a lesson' and no doubt, so she couldn't testify. She wanted a divorce and he's a man who has the warped stalker behaviour 'if I can't have her no one can and I will hurt her for making me feel this way and not wanting me'.

As soon as they said he'd asked for one last day with his children (a man who has a restraining order out against him by the mother of his children and is facing prison), I knew those poor babies were in big trouble just to get back at her.

Those anti death row protestors need to hang their heads in shame standing there on this case. He's not dumb. He knows what he's doing and smirks at the camera constantly. If it was their babies/grandbabies they'd pull they be stood there?

His daughter angers me also but she's deluded.

One of the hardest things I have ever watched and I watch so many shows like this.

Hard to feel any sympathy for either men
elainewright-430137 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So 1st guy should of been let off cos he'd been bullied continuously throughout his life according to the activist...he still walked out to his truck to get his gun which shows intent..he still killed 5 people. I was bullied way into my adult life and never murdered anyone so as an excuse, it's pretty poor. Yeah he showed remorse but if a state has a death penalty you kind of know what's going to happen should you kill someone intentionally. The 2nd guy murdered his 2 little kids because he was going to be arrested! Shows no remorse for either beating his wife and says he should of killed her..or murdering his 2 little girls, shot in the back and then in the head just to make doubly sure they were dead! I feel for their kids, but avoiding the fact your father murdered people really isn't a healthy coping mechanism.

Put yourself in someone elses shoes
souplahoopla26 July 2022
There is one other review on this title and honestly if the point few by them it was miles away.

These men are terrible human beings, but their children are not. And for the most part never saw the bad part of them. The reviewer says the daughter smiled when she said her dad murdered 5 people. She didnt smile in that way, she smiled like it was so incredibly unbelievable to her she could barely believe it...not that she could enjoy the fact.

It was very interesting to view the emotional conflict of these people who only knew their fathers as relatively good dads.
