The movie is just one time watchable. A typical Kerala village back in the 1950's near the river. Another revenge seeking movie done by Biju Menon like ayyapanum koshiyum. But too much of such movies is boring. It's time Biju Menon chooses a different script. The new gen people may not like this movie but this movie would have been a super hit had it released in 1980's. The actors did a decent job. The film lags in the first half. In this modern era where people settle their scores within few hours mostly, this film shows it takes months. The hero gets his revenge one by one and that was the funny part. Also lots of abusive language used . Don't watch in front of kids.

First few minutes is too slow , it took several minutes to understand in what direction movie to lead Biju acting is so good and natural and that is core strength for the movie , Background score requires little bit of sense to the visuals It's quite surprising the whole village is chasing with so much of torch in their hand not able to recognise Ammini Annan before he enters the house for lungi is not impressive ,as a directorial effort for Sreejith is good and can be good in future to make screenplay more effective.there is bright future for him .Padmapriya suits the character well so as Nimisha.

Oru thekkan thallu case is a kind of revenge story where ammini pilla played by biju menon, the biggest rowdy in the village seeks revenge on podiyan (played by roshan mathews) and his gang.

The best thing about the movie is cinematography by madhu neelakandan, especially the night sequences were beautifuly done. Some shots reminded me of scenes from the movie jallikattu (the scene where people run with a fires stick on their hand). The perfomance by all the actors were really good, but i would like to give a special mention to biju menon as ammini pilla, he was just awsome, It is his perfomance that holds the audience till the end. Nimisha sajayan, padmapriya, roshan mathew and all his gang members, everyone deliver a good perfomance. The music by just vargese was really good, I loved the two songs and the background score was really nice especially the one given to biju menon. The action sequences were really good, it felt part of the story and narrative rather than something to show heroism, the action sequence in the night where podiyan and his gang attack ammini pillai was nicely executed. The production design and art work was superbly done, it transports us to the time period of late 80s Or early 90s. The costumes, props used all are done nicely to match the time period.

The issue I had with the movie is in the second half, since a good villian Or antaganist was missing, I didn't feel a anticipation towards the end. I felt the writers could have created a much better villian.

Overall, definitely a good watch if u love revenge action drama.

A simple story, which become unique when right choreography and background score put in right place.

Bijumenon with his usual charismatic performance rules the movie. Padmapriya and Nimisha give justice to there roles. Like 'Nna thaan case Kodu' this movie also follows the trend of giving chances to new faces, they did there role tremendously well. The rivalry between Biju and Roshan resembles Ayappanum Koshiyum.

Expected some more action sequences in the climax, felt like the movie ended quickly.

Bijumenon does lots of similar kind of movies these days. Anyways altogether the movie is a fun entertainer. .

A fairly decent watch. Director could have slightly played around with the script & this would have been much more entertaining.

Climax could have been much more interesting. Length of the movie could have been shortened. That would have made it racy. Title was a dampner. Could have had a different one.

Among the actors - PadmaPriya was Top class. Biju Menon & Roshan performed well. Nimisha's expression appeared same throughout.

Friends team of Roshan did their part well as well.

Could have done with some slick editing as certain parts were a drag !

A one time watch though. Better than some of the recent ones. Appears that it lacked promotion.

ORU THEKKAN THALLU CASE is a perfect example of how a small thread of story can be picturised well in to a cinematic experience. Usually stories such as short as these are complexed in to many events in the movie. Kudos to the entire team and director Sreejith for making this movie a brilliant watch feast.

Biju menon, Roshan, Padmapriya and Nimisha Sajayan were the lead actors in this movie. Everyone has performed to their best. OTTC is a realistic and fresh approach. The story is happening in the Southern part of Kerala. The Art, choreography deserves a big praise as they've put the maximum effort to show the period of pre 2000 in the specific part of a state. Also the improvisation in the slang of the particular place is also top notch. Overall a funny, fresh and realistic watch.

Watched the trailer in Cinemas and didn't find interesting at all . However watched the movies in Netflix and was entertained throughout . So I felt the trailer didn't do justice on the movie by not creating interest. Also kindly consider that a great proportion of family crowd like mine tend to back out on movies that have intimate scenes. Should have been a good movie in cinemas if excluded .

However also acknowledge that creators have the right of expression but the movie had great potential for gaining family crowd also .

Direction and script was good with actors did a fairly good job ..

A sweet Revenge, all the characters played upto there part. Overall a good movie.

Screenplay, dialogues, background score and partly comedy scenes make this movie more interesting and entertaining.

Credit goes to the director how such a small topic is converted into a full time movie.

Concept and the movie draws some what a parallel line with another epic movie Maheshinte Prathikaram.

Biju Menon always do justice with his character he does a fabulous job in portraying any character thrown in front of him. Padmapriya an evergreen beauty, Roshan Mathew, Nimisha Sajayan and the other few characters have done a fantastic job.

An amazing moving all through and eBay aging enough ... may be not so great climax ... amazed to know it's a first time director ... make up and art to create the old days is perfect ... excellent acting .... Cinematography ... a thin story line but very well made .... on more class director to look forward to 👍🏻😃

Background music is excellent and lifts the movie very well... a very well coordinated movie .. the comedy timing is great .... Just don't expect anything ... sit back and get along with the flow ... biju men on and Roshan are just super ... a different one for Roshan .... Biju takes over from AK movie ....

Excellent acting by all , perfect and brilliant direction that how a small incident to picturising beautifully thrilling and humoursly. Whole family enjoyed the movie and laughed a lot. Actually the movie is going very seriously an no one is saying any comedy to make laugh the viewers. All are situational comedies, and it placed nicely. In many point of time, we will thought the movie is turned into a normal movie but it will twist in other way that we are not thinking, that also I felt very brilliant and make the viewers to sit tightly in the chair and watch the movie very involving. I didn't found any corns , 100% perfect , family entertainer.

Well narrated simple movie .. all characters performed well .. movie cant follow the south kerala dialec that much .. it was not stable along the movie .. other than that .. its a pretty good watchable movie. Good location , nimisha , padmapriya , biju menon , roshan and all his team played their role very well .. character building was quite natural and the scene to scene flow is good ..

I recommend to watch this movie as an entertainer .. night scenes you will like it .. the main content is similar to ayyappan koshi which is talking abt the male ego and the issues related .. all total its a good movie to watch.

A very well cast and well directed movie, set four decades ago. The intensity is maintained throughout. The mature romance of Ammmini Pilla and his Rukmani, the intense romance of Podiyan Pilla and vasanthi, the battle of egos between both; all is brought out very well. All the actors have been given sufficient opportunity to express themselves. Even the support cast have been chosen well. The village wall acts as a setting for keeping the scores of the revenge. The tussle between Ammini Pilla and Podiyan Pilla doesn't overshadow the female characters. Notably, there is no villain character. There is no gory ending. There is a tinge of reality to the drama. Overall, a very well made and gripping movie.

Movie is engaging in most part, part of the story telling is really good , part of it is flat. But certainly worth a watch

What stand out is the base story , it presents a new landscape, some new twists and turns , lot of genuineness. The script , while not best is also good. There are some good humor that fits well in the movie. Climax was also good. Director looks confused between realistic and action thriller. Good attempt to pick this story though

Biju Menon is probably not the best cast for this , appear lazy for the character . Roshan , Nimisha and padmapriya was good. So as the new cast of Roshan friends, especially the police guy.

Over all one should give it a try. I liked it.
