Warning: Spoilers
While I enjoyed some of the film, overall it felt disjointed. Abigail Culwell did an excellent job portraying a vulnerable yet determined heroine. Director Barbara Stepansky also did an excellent job as the film had an eerie feel to it as if anything could happen at any moment. Problem was in most cases it never did.

Spoiler alert:

there is one great scene ( as shown in trailer ) , where a heavily pregnant Abigail is being pursued up an incline by her assailant, I was hoping this confrontation was the climax of the film, instead it's not, instead it's a flashback just being remembered, it was over with far too quickly, and when the real climax comes for the now not heavily pregnant heroine, it felt totally so out of place with how rest of the film came across..

So my biggest complaint was the storyline itself, was too slow in most areas, missed opportunity in others, and en ending that was way out of place...

Indie haunted house chore

Warning: Spoilers
FUGUE is another slow and dull indie haunted house movie. It involves the usual maladjusted young woman moving into a haunted home where she discovers some unpleasantness going on. Are ghosts responsible? You'll neither know nor care in the hands of a director who doesn't know how to craft an interesting tale. The emphasis is on atmosphere building but it's all very mannered and predictable.

Not A Horror Movie

Okay here we go with.....an obviously not very much watched , 'not rated', movie.

Couple moves into House and chick starts experiencing weird paranormal dreams and events.

Boyfriend apparently thinks chick is a nut.

Alright the movie really didn't have a lot of ups or downs it was really pretty boring at times.

I thought the ending / climax was a bit blase....

-1 Star for the ending not really tying up everything else going on in the movie. Not in my opinion anyway.

I really wouldn't give this one a horror tag, it was really NOT much of a horror movie. More of a psych thriller.

One Star for Content

Warning: Spoilers
This film is shot beautifully, and the acting is professional. The problem with the story is that a devious home-breaker gets a pass and is not held responsible for any of her actions because, after all, she's the innocent college student the equally devious professor has used as a replacement for his lovely, talented wife who eventually cracks under the pressure of her broken marriage and becomes a murderess. So, an adultery fault line runs the length of the plot, and eventually causes disaster--still the film stresses to the viewer that the student is the non-offending party. She gets to walk away with her sister who has lied to her, but somehow they're still friends, while the house is now haunted by the ghost of the jilted wife she has murdered in a vicious fight.
