After all these years and a load of opinions that told us that this will never get an anime adaptation, Komi-San Has entered the screens with a dazzling intro and great expectations while stealing the hearts of the Manga readers and new viewers to the story.
Despite the late Netflix broadcasting (It's just a few days away) pre-screening of the first episode (it's even in the YouTube now) Made it clear that this means business! A breathtaking intro, featuring all the important classmates (If you look closely, you'll see what I mean!) and also 10 minutes from the first episode! The pre-screening worried me there a little bit because despite it being wholesome and great, what if the rest was less impressive?
But that anxiety left the me when the full episode was released, After Tadano asked Komi about her problem the atmosphere quickly adjusted to the mood of the situation. The creators gave the place it deserved with 10 minutes of beautifully animation! Music was heartwarming! The chalk dust that fell down from the writing is going to be in our minds for a while. It's literary that great! Despite this being a comedy/ slice of life story this part was... how do i put it?... Let's see... A once in a while thing that you'll not be abled to see in this kind of an anime. But then again, It's no wonder since Ayumu Watanabe; the director of the Children of the sea and After the Rain is directing the show. Also the Studio OLM is showing off their skills in the beautiful animations! As expected from the creators of the Pokémon Movies and the voice acting of the Aoi Koga & Gakuto Kajiwara has to be mentioned since they really did a nice job voicing Komi-san and Tadano-kun.
So, let's see how they present us this great story as an anime and how will it keep the reputation as one of the best anime in this season. Giving the adaptation that the original story deserves!
