It just slowly gets better and better

Absolute prime example of a slow burner.

First episode seemed slow and left be feeling "well that's something to watch, but..." By the end of second episode I'm gripped.

And by the reviews I've read, episode three is going to be a corker.

I'm just not sure....

Brid continues to drink heavily, her behaviour seems to have cost her a great deal.

I just don't know, I've reached the half way point, and I'm still so unsure as to whether I like it or not. On the plus side, I like that it's showing real people, the cast feel, and look very real, there is also no denying the quality of both Siobhán McSweeney and Conleith Hill, the pair are terrific.

The story, it's just not going anywhere, and bad language apart, it still feels more like a cosy aftmernoon drama, not a night time viewing.

I'm still not sure I know what it is, or where it's going, it's almost like appealing background telly, 5/10.
