Excellent way to rap up an excellent season.

Warning: Spoilers
One review of this says it is the "worst finale in history" and cites the fact that there is no cliffhanger as evidence of this. Have we come to this point, where we even expect musical comedies to have giant cliffhangers that leave us biting our nails all summer? Is there any good reason to want that in a show like this? I say no.

Instead we got an excellent self-contained season with lots of emotion, lots of laughs, and lots of the best music of yesterday and today. The song choices in this episode were all excellent, from the Journey medley with Don't Stop truly cranked up to a 10, to the beautiful (no, not cheesy, beautiful) rendition of To Sir With Love for Will, all the way to the overproduced and soulless but still lots of fun Vocal Adrenaline rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody (no, it's not called BoRap).

The plot lines that the show did move along it moved to where they need to be. Will is at least acknowledging Emma's presence again. And that dumb side-story with Rachel's new boyfriend is over and we can actually see what was promised after Sectionals with her and Finn as a couple. Most importantly Quinn has had the baby, and while the adoption went smoothly and we didn't have to endure the standard TV show pregnancy cliché of "I'm keeping it!" at the last minute, we did get to see a very shocking turn with Rachel's biological Mother adopting Quinn's baby just weeks after pushing Rachel away (is that a *gasp* continuing plot thread....almost even a cliffhanger?) I suspect this will play heavily into the next season, all of this, and I look forward to seeing if I'm right next season.

Congratulations to Glee on an excellent first season. There were bumps along the road (please don't do any more episodes with only one artist's songs and a terrible message that women are the only ones that deserve fair treatment), but there were also great highs (Neil Patrick Harris doing a duet of Aerosmith's Dream On, for example). You just keep doing what you're doing and don't let any of these people who jump on hate bandwagons whenever something gets popular change what you are.

"Journey" is the apt title for this first season finale of "Glee"

Warning: Spoilers
So it's come to this in the first season finale of "Glee": New Directions play at regionals and perform a Journey medley, including the song that first got them all together-"Don't Stop Believin'". Also, Finn declares his love for Rachel, Quinn has her baby, Shelby decides to quit glee despite her group-Vocal Adrenaline-winning and adopt Quinn's baby Beth, and, after getting a dressing down from celebrity judge Olivia Newton-John (remember, the one who cheated Sue out of some of their "Physical" video profits?), Sue Sylvester votes for her high school glee club in first place and convinces Principal Figgins to continue them for another year when she sees the group show their appreciation to Will by singing "To Sir, with Love". In return, Will shows his to them by performing-with Puck on acoustic guitar-"Over the Rainbow"...This was a very touching way to end the first season of this most musically entertaining TV program of current times. Everything came together to create magic of the highest order especially when Quinn went into labor while Vocal Adrenaline performed "Bohemian Rhapsody". What a mostly excellent year this was for "Glee". I'm now looking forward to watch what's aired so far this second season...

Another great proof of Glee's quality

When watching Glee you're expecting lots of science details or a completely "makes sense" plot. You're waiting to enjoy yourself at the most you can, and that I assure you, you will. The story surprises you in some ways and do what you supposed it would do at the same time. Gives you song that make me weep like a child, get my mouth in a shape of a O and laugh. I'm a TV series addict, I watch almost everything is playing on TV, and I am 100% sure that you can have what you have in Glee in any other place. The series is marvelous and the end just makes you want more... If you seriously care about details like time, science, etc you should, really, look for another series cause Glee just can promise you joy

Wow, is all I can say.

Warning: Spoilers
At the fall finale, I knew in my heart that the spring finale would have Quinn having her baby. I was also sure that New Directions would win Regionals.

I am glad I was proved wrong on one of those.

It shows how amazing Glee is. Most expected them to win and just keep going. No, instead they lose and don't even place. Even though we are all rooting for them and hope they win. It was heart breaking, but a great story line.

I think that BoRap was very very odd. I didn't like it at all. I didn't like that it was just Jesse singing, and it was mainly a dance number. That, and there was no emotions.

The progression of Quinn and her mothers relationship was amazing. I was so happy to see her mother.

And, though there is nothing huge that we have to look forward to next Fall, when you think about it the ending of the season means it's summer for the kids on Glee. So, why would they have a huge cliff hanger? The club's precarious lifeline is enough.

all in all, amazing.

The One With Regionals...

Warning: Spoilers
I really love this episode. It's one of my all-time favorite episodes, and not just from this season, but from the entire series. I think I love it so much because of the setlist, and because of the Puck and Quinn dynamic, after their baby is born.

In this episode, New Directions heads to Regionals and they're so excited. Half-way through, Quinn goes into labor and delivers her baby girl. She and Puck share a lovely moment, where Puck reveals that he loves her. They decide to give the baby up, but to still name her Beth. The New Directions discover that they have not won Regionals, therefore, the Glee Club is disbanded. But Sue actually might have seconds thoughts about her decision.

Best part of the episode: The Puck and Quinn moments.

Worst part of the episode: Bohemian Rhapsody.

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Freaking Ridonkulous.

Just caught this episode on Netflix

Firstly I'm probably not the target audience for Glee. My wife watched it faithfully and I caught a few bits.

I had seen the Journey medley before and to be fair they do a fabulous job.

What happens next is so bad and really offended me. Bohemian Rhapsody - This song needs Freddie's unequalled voice and Brian May's sublime and unique guitar.

From what I can see the Journey songs were performed by the Glee characters. Bo Rho had a different, not good not bad, lead voice. The rest though are taken from the Queen Original Track. Starts with someone pretending to play guitar like Brian ( his was made by his dad and he uses a coin as a plectrum".

The rest of it was of quality approaching the 9.1 but this one thing is so bad it takes away 7 stars.
