Irene and Frank disagree on how to deal with their new guest, but they look after him as he recovers from his fever. They wonder if he is an alien and ponder where he came from, but he reveals nothing and all is not as it seems.

A slower episode, yet several new key facts and characters are presented.

Intriguing but...

The acting is incredible, but we are in our mid-60's and a little offended by the depiction of Irene and Franklin. I know they are acting like they are being directed to act, but they seem so frail, mentally and physically. They act like helpless, doddering, senile, silly old fools, except, of course, when Franklin carried that person up the stairs, which was not believable at all. And OMG, such unbelievably bad judgement, just for the sake of plot-driving! I hope it improves, but Hollywood needs to understand that people the age of Irene and Franklin are not nearly dead!

I am unemployed nothing else to do.

I am a fan of both sissy spacek and j.k. Simmons so I decided to watch. Also, I am unemployed and have a lot of time on my hand..ep.1was character development...slow and steady.ep. 2 introduced new characters. I know and read the negative reviews....but I HV nothing else to do.

No suspense, no drama, barely sci-fi

Sloooooooooooow, booooooooring, lacklustre and similar adjectives are applicable here. It's not a compelling watch at all, flat character development and the story doesn't seem to have a beginning and undoubtedly won't have an end. Acting is ok, but the writing is uninspired and not worthy of a TV show. Save your time and watch something else...

I'm driving into a rock quarry...

Honestly, such BEAUTIFUL cinematography lost on the poorest writing. A mother driving toward her daughter in an empty rock quarry is one of the worst scenes for the sake of filling air I've seen in a long time.

Gave this show a try, but this episode was too boring to care about the story of what the chamber-to-another-world was all about. Two main actors were interesting but when I started fast-forwarding at 32x speed I knew I was done.
