It's not Scorsese, but it doesn't set out to be!

Clicked on this out of curiosity on account of the title and was pleasantly surprised!

Filmed on such a low budget, it belies any semblance of feeling "cheap", which is a testament to director Pauric Brennan and his crew. He has gathered a more than capable ensemble of actors who are thoroughly engaging, with a special mention to Andy Yule's "Reinhold". The film at first seems like a sort of buddy comedy and suddenly takes an unexpected turn into a much darker and psychological edged thriller / horror, with at least two excellent jump scares and a super plot twist.

It took a little while to get going, but I found myself enjoying this little indie gem. The ending felt very quick and unexpected, but I think that was most likely the director's intention: Perhaps the idea that some people may be incapable of change.

Some wonderful cinematography gives this film an almost claustrophobic feeling, quite the trick being as it is set in the beautiful Irish outdoors. The storyline is a very simple one, it's not Scorsese, and it doesn't set out to be. Easy to follow with engaging characters. The score was decent too, added a lot of atmosphere and momentum, particularly towards the climax of the film.

Not a Bad watch at All

Warning: Spoilers
I discovered this on Amazon while looking for something to watch. I clicked on it as it seemed different. I was pleasantly surprised that for once Bigfoot is not portrayed as a mindless killing machine. The filmmaker here focuses on man and how destructive we are to our surroundings. The cast gave good performances, and this indie is fairly ambitious for a small budget. The ending was a bit quick but had some great moments, like the arrow strikes on the tree, which looked real. All in all a good watch and I recommend it for a quick 80-minute watch. I found it to be entertaining and will look out for more from the cast and crew who made it.
