Filmed live before a studio audience.
A typical show would feature two separate guests; talented kids performing followed by an interview segment. Jonathan had hosting duty and would typically do a short monologue. While Avi announced guests and would provide comedic relief (and frequent interruption) with his big kid character.
The bits were never scripted. There were loose outlines to each segment which were then mostly improvised.
The most common guest talent was singing, but the show also featured dancing, musicians and a martial arts demonstration.
Originally airing on Community Access Television in the Los Angeles market, Kids Network was filmed at Westchester Cable Studios.
