Warning: Spoilers
Negatives- Some parts of the movie were completely unnecessary to the plot, like the romance between the 2 leads. It contributed nth to the story. Also, what was up with showing the victim (Lumin) falling for the woman who kissed him without his consent (Priyom)? And we can know it was without consent cuz he slapped her afterward. Also, romance needs building there was no building at all, rather they were constantly fighting before as well.

Positives- I loved the character of Sadaf, he was a great comic relief, we all know a friend like him so it was relatable. I liked the build-up to the scene where Lumin was jealous of others cuz their parents called them and he didn't have parents. The emotional scenes of people struggling cuz of the bank closing down emphasized the urgency.

😶😶😶

Watched yesterday along with a good number of audience as it was a Friday. Quite a few people left before the movie was over. I wanted to leave as well but assumed it would get better after the interval but it didn't.

I didn't like the Thai guy. Disappointing locations of Thailand were chosen. The story had no deapth. As an audience I didn't feel engaged or involved. Could not relate or feel sorry or love for any of the characters.

The movie seemed mostly like the plot of a si fi TV series of the 90s. Apart from that there were:

1. Too many songs 2. Absence of edge of the seat or impactful moments 3. Predictable storyline 4. Good cast but they were not given a chance to show their acting skills 5. Poor choreography, cinematography and stunt direction 6. Dialogues were below average 7. The dialogues about the technical concerns were complicated and I was lost most of the time

This is my personal review which some of you may or may not agree with. Will still continue to watch Bangla movies as we need to support our industry.

Would request movie directors to understand what the audience wants and make movies accordingly.

The 1st of many 1st

Plot: In a thrilling turn of events, an international hacker group launches a devastating attack on a Bank, crippling all financial transactions and leaving millions of people's money inaccessible. Their audacious demand: the immediate surrender of PLS71. The mystery shrouding PLS71 deepens, as the hackers' audacity in targeting an entire nation's banking system raises questions about their true motives. Is this merely the beginning of their demands, or is there a larger, hidden agenda at play? Could this be a diversion, masking their true target? And what exactly is the significance of Antarjal-21, the mega-project involving Bangladesh? Why are these hackers so determined to seize control of it?

The story of "Antarjal" can be narrated in various ways, whether as a high-stakes conflict pitting a group of hackers against the entire nation of Bangladesh or as the journey of a villain relentlessly pursuing control over Bangladesh's visionary project, Antarjal-21. The battle between offensive and defensive tactics, at times, offers gripping suspense.

Director: Renowned for his grand-scale productions and unwavering commitment to quality, Dipankar Dipon maintains his signature style in "Antarjal." The unexpected twist he introduces towards the story's conclusion lingers in the viewer's memory. Dipon skillfully portrays the complexities of modern times with a straightforward narrative. While the thriller occasionally meanders due to plot and character development, Dipon keeps the focus firmly on the central storyline.

Cast: Siam delivers a compelling performance as Lumin, a programmer haunted by his troubled past. Although his on-screen chemistry with Sunehra is somewhat limited, their pairing is a welcome sight. ABM Sumon brings vibrancy to his role, while Mim successfully embodies her character. Keto bhai's commendable performance deserves praise, with one actor's surprise contribution best left unspoiled for the audience to discover in the cinema hall.

Visual Effects and Product Placement: The visual effects exhibit moments of brilliance but also show inconsistency. Some instances of product placement appear unnecessary, while others seamlessly integrate with the narrative.

With "Antarjal," Dipankar Dipon introduces a groundbreaking trend in Bangladeshi cinema. The film explores the realms of cybercrime, the dark web, and the intricate world of the internet, marking a departure from conventional cinema in Bangladesh. By simplifying complex themes, "Antarjal" serves as a guidepost for future films in this genre, offering audiences a thrilling and thought-provoking experience.

Worst Movie Ever
faysalfpz25 September 2023
Biggest Worst movie in the history of Bangladesh. No Storyline just VFX. People want the story, not HD-quality video. The director should be concerned about the Story when they are making any movie. And it's not important to make a song for every movie.

This movie is about Hacking, so why you are giving a song of the movie? And, the main thing is connecting the emotion with the audience but you guys totally fail. One more important thing, please don't waste the money on making the plot but the story. We don't want the outdoor scenes but the good quality of cinematography. And please when you are selecting dialogues, don't make that cringe.
