Sandy Carey trapped in a bad film
PIT OF PERVERSION is a title that overstates its case. This is routine misogynistic porn aimed at the adult audience that likes to see women mistreated for fun & profit. Monicker is likely to attract more extreme perverts who will be disappointed by its routine contents.
Sandy Carey, hiding her identity unsuccessfully behind various unattractive, dark wigs, is a girl consoled by Henry Farris, who actually is in cahoots with the creep, played by the busy if untalented porn star Adam Ward, mistreating her. Along with her pal Becky Sharpe, it turns out that these women have fallen into the clutches of corrupt cops who are using their inside knowledge about procurers and Johns to essentially enslave women into prostitution.
Action unfurls cheaply in a normal apartment set, title notwithstanding. We see the guys "training" the girls, basically trying to make them accustomed to being sex slaves. Sandy resists while in time-honored porn tradition, Becky just loves abuse. I always take a sort of Margaret Mead ethnographic approach to watching this sort of junk -trying to understand the appeal within the primitive society depicted for the strange rites shown. At some point, however, I'm caught up short -hey, this is America!
As far as perversion goes, it is mainly domination that is being spoken here, with irritable non-actors getting mad and pretending to slap down the actresses. Film is so shabbily shot and put together that in the Alpha Blue Archives print I watched there were two scenes where the lines of dialog were repeated, the editor failing to clip at the proper moment to remove overlap between takes.
Key subplot involves the hippy brother of one of the cops, whose fate is the only potential spoiler. However, at this barrel-bottom level of filmmaking, the audience is merely told the story by ad libbing characters, rather than having the story enacted on screen, so basically nothing happens.
Definitely the worst Sandy Carey movie I've ever seen.
