All you hear from this cast of clowns is constantly complaining about the homeowner's budget being small. In Farm for the whole family episode I watched in horror as almost half of this young couple's budget of $70K was egregiously wasted on plants. They never had any landscaping around their home to speak of and Jamie spent $30K to make their backyard look like a plant nursery. The husband was clearly distressed in the show. The wife was putting on a good face. I bet they cried about it later. How do you get off complaining about a couple's budget and then gleefully brag about bringing in 3 truck loads of plants. This couple has no experience taking care of a few plants let alone a jungle. No irrigation to speak of and I doubt a lot of water could be allocated to plants given they most likely use well water. This plant investment will be gone in a year. The end product of their landscape plan was just awful. The beds weren't edged, half of the beds were mulched with the rest left as dirt. The beds weren't anchored by hard-scape either. Just two large garden plots of dirt was dedicated to dozens of plants for no apparent reason. They literally just planted trees and shrubs in rows like you'd see at a commercial nursery and called that a retreat. Jamie is the worst landscape designer on TV.
