"Is this a good idea?"

Seemingly an attempt at doing an "old-style" Neighbours episode that doesn't quite come off. It's actually rather painful to see them trying to make Elle out to be a pantomime villain, complete with extras booing her.In fact, she's struggling to keep afloat after being robbed by a conman, although Toadie makes a point that it wouldn't hurt to wait for another offer.Toadie's speech is faintly excruciating, as if someone thinks because he's a long-serving character he needs to start talking like Lou or Harold. It all comes right in the end...maybe. Seeing Lyn getting her own back on Paul and Rebecca is another of those pleasing moments of a self-righteous character being taken down a peg or two.Lyn's overacting in the background at Charlie's is rather amusing if viewed in the right mood.Sophie is cute as ever, especially with the drum.

The Toadie/Sonya romance seems to be being kickstarted here. They're not the best couple this show has ever done but they're far from being the worst.Although if Toadie's daydream of Sonya barefoot and pregnant is how he wants them to end up, she needs to run now.

Susan's mother hen instincts cause her to take the creepy kid out to dinner.By the end of the episode he seems to have latched on to Harry. Maybe this is one of those story lines where he'll turn out to be misunderstood but at the moment he's simply a nuisance.
