In the final pan of the top of the cathedral at the mark 52:57 you can see an airplane.
This episode has Henry II killing Eustace in combat in year 1156 to become the king. King Stephen dies shortly after wards, leaving the way clear for Henry. Eustace actually died suddenly in 1153, Stephen following in 1154, a good 2-3 years before the time given.
Henry II did not slay Prince Eustace to gain his crown. Following Eustace's sudden death in 1153, Henry successfully negotiated the Treaty of Wallingford with Stephen to gain the throne in 1154.

When William is lynched he dies almost instantly as if the noose was fastened with a "hangman's knot", which was not invented until much later. A medieval hanging would have used a "short drop" where the condemned man would have taken between 10 and 20 minutes to die from strangulation.
