- Six friends from Um die 30 (1995) meet over 20 years later in Munich for one 's 50th birthday party.
- It has been more than 20 years since the "Around 30" clique around Frank, Tina, Carlo, Carola, Sabrina and Olaf could be watched in a six-part series. Fans could share the joys and sorrows of growing up with the six baby boomers, sometimes laughing, sometimes compassionately. Now the friends are coming together again on the occasion of Carola's 50th birthday. Even Tina (Natalia Wörner) travels from Paris and although they are both in steady relationships, there is a huge spark between Frank (Dominic Raacke) and her again. Olaf (Bruno Eyron) is in financial trouble - but as always he finds an elegant solution: he speculates on wresting the house from his mother, who lives in an old people's home. Sabrina (Catherine Flemming) is completely distraught. Her ex Lars (Marc Hosemann), the father of her son, is giving her a hard time. She comes from Berlin to Munich with her partner Ellen (Jule Böwe) to clear out her deceased parents' house together with her sister Tina. Only Carlo (Jürgen Tarrach) and Carola (Susanne Schäfer) seem to have come through the years unscathed as a couple with three children. They seem like a happy family. But appearances are deceptive - behind the scenes there are rumblings. In essence, they have all remained true to themselves. The problems may be different today, but everyone tackles them with their own passion. Touching moments and funny situations complement each other to make a feel-good movie that is absolutely worth seeing. Have they grown up? "You don't grow up, you just get older" Frank already knew in "Around 30"...
