The Witness
claudio_carvalho13 January 2024
When the main witness Mark McLaughlin of a case against the mobster kingpin Elliot Greene is assassinated in a safehouse, the US Attorney Garrett Denning arrives at The Lightman Group to summon Ben Reynolds to replace Mark and witness against Greene. However, Cal says that the US Marshalls are not able to protect Reynolds and demands to run an investigation of the murder of Mark. Soon he learns that Reynold had used drugs and killed a man while investigating Greene, and his direct liaison and boss Sheila Redatti was aware and cleared him through a signed document. But the document disappeared from the case and Greene is blackmailing Reynolds to dismiss the case. Now Cal goes undercover to investigate why the document is missing. Meanwhile, Loker and Torres investigate how the location of Mark was leaked.

"Lack of Candor" is another good episode of "Lie to Me". This time, Dr, Carl Lightman protects his employee and friend Ben Reynolds from serious accusations of drugs and murder. The plot is well-resolved and highly entertaining. My vote is eight.
