In the narration about Huskies, a dog named Balto is given credit for saving Nome from diphtheria in a long run through a blizzard. Balto ran just the final leg of the run, about 19 miles. The true hero dog was a 12-year-old Husky named Togo. He led his team over 200 miles for the serum. Balto got the credit only because a reporter was there when the serum arrived and interviewed the musher.
