i like to see some real Chinese people who are working in Africa, how they do business with the local people. how the local people react to them(they don't feel being trusted). you can see all of this, with the chinglish throughout the film when the Chinese try to communicate with the local people and how the local people speaking their own language to gossip of their boss.

you can also see how China is engaged in all of this, there are president of Zambia and Minister of Commerce of China showing up.

but this film is confined to one country(Zambia) and two people only, one Chinese Farmer and one Chinese project manager, really can't call it when China meet Africa, for this i don't think it is a great film.

This documentary seems to be made up of only raw material.

There is no direction in the production. First you are doped in on a Chinese farm owner and you see his interaction with the farm help that he employs, who seem to be people who just wander in that morning. Doing all the work manually, plant seeds by hand, cover with hoe, weed with hoe. All the while people are talking and.wandering about.

Next you are dropped of at a road work company where you see the boss give a pass/fail test of some people to see if they can drive a truck well enough to get a job.

Then the scene change to the interaction of some government officials doing some official things.

At no time during this production is there any sense of direction or purpose.

Is the actions of the Chinese and the African governments a good thing or a bad thing. I don't know and you won't get any clarity in watching this pic.
