The objects of a kitchen take life during the absence of the habitant of the house. Their principal occupation is the match between a vase and a corkscrew. The two adversaries try each day to reach the center of a dart target, using pieces of food. One evening, the habitant installs a cuckoo which, the following day, starts to sound every hour and irritates the characters. The vase and the corkscrew take him for target. The cuckoo is damaged more and more. It tries to react and to be defended as it can, even if the combat is unequal. A bottle of Tabasco, accidentally ignited, is transformed into a crazy rocket, fly on the clock and explodes it. The cuckoo is projected by the breath through the kitchen and plants in full center of the target. He becomes the final winner then.
