Like seeing a new planet!

Viewed this film recently at a festival, and until then, I had no idea the Homeless World Cup existed! It was really great to see the story unfold, I had an impression of what was going to happen, but I was wrong, and that was great. The story in this documentary is better than anything that could have been written. Even though the film was short, it encompassed two years of the Homeless World Cup. I would have loved to have seen an equal emphasis on each of the two years. It seemed like they were running out of money by the second year and kept the filming to a minimum. The ending felt abrupt.

My biggest grief about the movie was that there were English subtitles for an English language movie. I understand that some of the things they said would have been a bit confusing or inaudible, but it really distracted me from the film. My eyes were constantly drawn to the subtitles, and I felt like I was missing the film.

By the end, the hardships that the team had to overcome did prevail. In my opinion, the filmmakers definitely achieved their goal to broadcast the struggles of the team, I give it an 8 out of 10.
