Whoever wrote this and directed it was very in touch with toxic masculinity and extremely out of touch with progressive, conscious interpersonal relationships. A movie where the bride was silenced and gaslit into being abused and disrespected continuously. Very hard to watch, we honestly almost didn't finish it, but it was like a train wreck, we couldn't look away. The music is atrocious and almost makes a person want to rip their eyeballs out. It reminded me of a Lifetime movie, very driven by the patriarchy, no depth, and completely nonsensical. I love the actors, they did a great job with what they were given. So this is nothing against them. A word of advice for the creators in charge, romcoms that are original and up to speed with at least the current median vibration of intelligence, are likely to fair better in an exponentially evolving world.

I'm getting tired and bored with Hollywood producing these silly, weak plot movies. This movie was both corney & silly. And to think... it's been given the opportunity to appear on Netflix. There wasn't one thing anout the story line or cast that warranted Netflix... or are they too just settling and buying any o'l thing (like Tyler Perrys, Mea Culpa 😖) Aside from the actor/husband to be (B. J. Britt) all of the acting was bad. The characters (like the hotel staff) was horrible. The jokes weren't funny. And the fake location was telling.
If Hollywood is gonna start producing junk like this, then they need to lift the harsh stipulations they put on new writers (with really great material I may add) who are trying to get their work seen & produced. OR how about just hire people who actually "know" how to decipher between good content & trash.

Poorly written and/or edited. So many things didn't make sense, and the flow was disjointed. I was left with questions that I really didn't care enough to know the answers to. The parting in Ashanti's wig stole the show for me as my eyes were automatically drawn to it's odd coloring every time she was in a scene. The single exception was the scene where they were waiting for Marshall to arrive so they could eat. Definitely needed some color-matched concealer in that part! This would be another issue that would lend to this movie's Tubi-like feel. The acting itself wasn't horrible, but I was left feeling like maybe some key points may have been left on the cutting room floor...I would hope.

I love Ashanti so much but she really played in my face with this one. The storyline was all over the place. Nothing in this movie made any sense. It was a disaster from start to finish. I'm sitting here at 1am pissed because I wasted my Saturday night and $6 that could've gone in my gas tank...or anywhere else but here. Cedric, this movie was beneath you. Ashanti, I can't believe you allowed them to let you sing part of Foolish at your "wedding." Why was the brother sick? We will never know because they never told us. What happened to Marie? Half of the characters did not have mics. The camera quality was off on multiple scenes. This movie made me so upset.

This movie was beyond horrible. The storyline and the plot of this movie didn't make sense some of the time. They also made the bride out to be the villian and that she was in the wrong. The way they wrote the best guy friend was straight trash, he brought someone that the bride specifically didn't want at her wedding, only to still bring her anyway and just about mess up the whole weekend. The fiancé was no better in this movie either, gaslit the bride in making her think she's overreacting when the bestfriend's gf is ruining her wedding dress, inviting herself in everything, and more. The writers did an awful job on this and save your time if you're considering watching this movie. I couldn't even finish it. This movie had too much going on and should've focused on the main plot.

This was THEE cheesiest, most useless movie I've ever seen! Total waste of money & time to have made this junk. I really don't understand what was the point of this horrendous movie and even more, I'm amazed that it was actually green lit to production. If there's an award for the most horribly written & most horribly acted movie, this is it! This movie had to have been written when the writers strike was going on because what in thee entire heck was that!?! I was looking forward to Cedric the Entertainers role and I was terribly disappointed. Ashanti isn't the best off actresses, but this role took down her acting cred at minimum, ten notches. If I could give zero stars, that's what it would get.

I hated this movie. Not only was most of the acting in it absolutely terrible but there wasn't anything funny at all that occured in it. The main character of the story (the bride) is repeatedly dismissed whenever she dares to draw attention to the very real problems the antagonist of the movie is causing her. It just comes across as misogynistic and for a newer Netflix title that's extremely disappointing. The big names who probably drew you in are either hardly seen or when they are the scene just falls flat. I watched 50 minutes of it and even that was too much. No laughs to be found here and certainly nothing interesting. Give this a miss.

Wow...I was really expecting something else. I love Ashanti and Ced. Cedric was greatly misused. Like other comments, the storyline was all over the place. I hate how they gaslighted Ashanti's character the whole time! Like who would think someone was overreacting when someone was wearing their wedding dress? And why wouldn't they have booked the Bridal suite in advance? This movie was horribly written, unrealistic, asinine, and a waste of talent. I am not understanding the point of this movie, too many side plots. The "girlfriend" is just horrible and the way that her behavior is condoned is frustrating.

I normally don't review movies like this but I also try to avoid even watching a minute of movies like this. How do these get made? Why do these movies get made? I don't even feel like going through it....terrible writing. Terrible acting. Plot is ridiculous. I hated so many people in this. I hope you are reading this before you hit play and can actually go find something else. Anything else.i don't blame Cedric for being in this if he was handed a suitcase of money and told he has a couple scenes. I hope when I wake up tomorrow that the memory of this movie and even me writing this review will be gone from my memory.

I enjoy everything about this movie.. It was funny and entertaining and I enjoy Sid he entertainer and Ashanti. Moreover it's a great movie to watch with your family for the holiday season. It's light-hearted and funny and filled with the typical bridezilla format.

Some moments were a little cringy but I stuck with it. It was decent. If you're watching this thinking Cedric is going to be in it in it, he's not. He was sprinkled in but completely absent from a few of the scenes.
As far as the writing goes, some scenes were rushed and Marie was far too annoying, like grow up annoying. Ashanti did a good job acting and singing but that song she sung was NOT a wedding song whatsoever. She was also gaslight by her fiancé throughout the entire movie, how was he not on her side???
I liked the Mom and Julissa. The ad placements were obnoxious but the brownie scene was funny. All in all, it got a few laughs out of me.

This movie was painful and obvious. The bride was being hushed and dismissed so much it's disgusting. Not funny and this was borderline mentally and emotionally abusive. Marie was intrusive, disrespectful, and crossed all boundaries. And her best friend was so insensitive. The gaslighting, the CRINGE!!! Why was she not allowed to have her way for her own wedding? She was made to feel wrong about that woman totally ruining HER weekend and it's disgusting. I hate this movie, this is not a comedy, it's triggering. Whoever came up with this, huge fail. Waste of some amazing actors talents. Seriously.

I can not stomach how the groom- keeps talking to Ashanti about his wedding. First, they took the bridal suite- she gets upset.... Everybody and I mean everybody tells Ashanti, she is wrong and over reacting. Then the guy that gave the room to the other girl, tells Ashanti he can't redirect her packages to her room. So, the girl that stole the darn room.... has her wedding dress and packages... Here is the kicker, Ashanti bff gave her a photo shoot for a wedding and the girl that stole the room , comes to the photo shoot in Ashanti wedding dress , and takes it to the water and crawls on the sand .... She flips out on the girl ... goes to her room and calls her groom- he goes into a self absorbed fit about her worrying someone else and messing up his wedding ?!?!?? Here what pushed me over the edge, Ashanti then apologizes ..... WHATTTTTT??? WHO WROTE THIS MESS.

Marshall character is the worst friend on the planet gaslighting the bride the whole movie. Big regret, I'll never get this time back. The storyline sucked. Marie, gag!! Cannot stand that character. I promise you, you will regret every minute that you spend watching this movie. The cast for the most part was decent, the story and plot could've made the movie so much better had Lizzie been able to actually have the wedding that she wanted with the guests she really wanted there. She gets walked on the whole entire movie. The way I wouldn't have accepted someone who ruined my wedding dress at my wedding. Omg please don't waste your time!!!

What did I just watch???? Honestly, I like some of these actors outside of this dumb movie! This is trash and I wish I could unsee it.............. don't be fooled by the names attached to this. I recommend you to skip this one, it's so cringy! Complete waste of time. I can't believe so many people agreed to this mess. The writing is horrible. The storyline seems like it was written by a 4 year old. I haven't watched a movie this bad in all of my adulthood. I'm 32.
I can't express how annoyed I am for watching this. I seriously can't believe the stars that are apart of this mess. I could've written a more interesting plot!

Sorry not a comedy or romantic. The music score one worst ever for movie. There record producers in the movie and this? Wow bad. Let's see six hundred hmmmmmmmm will try on a movie worth zero to less than one star hmmmmmmmm. Okay watched cedric the entertainer on movie poster also actress playing his wife on the movie poster. She is a really good actress. Why so good actors and actresses in this movie? They were so misused. I have often stopped watching well written television series shows, and i really well written ones. Because could no longer listen to music score and this the worst The writing not good. I stayed out of respect the actors and actresses i have liked and enjoyed their prior work. Sad because they still could not save this zero to less than one diaster. :-(

I am so disappointed in most of this movie. Why did they act like Lizzie was overreacting when Marie's behavior was deplorable. Who takes the bridal suite or puts on someone else's wedding dress, and asks like they are oblivious to what they've done wrong. I was annoyed by her nicknames for people who aren't her friends and obviously do not like her. Why would she give a speech at anything especially after she was told she wasn't wanted there in the first place. Then her trying to walk down the aisle, in a white dress no less. Anna was the only person focused on supporting her friend the entire time. There were some good moments but most of it was ridiculous.

Ashanti is not very good in this she is an over the top crybaby though the whole movie And the girl that plays maire can't act either the only good actors where Cedric the entertainer and the guy who played the groom !!!!!! I want the time back that it took to watch keep hoping it would get better but nope!!!! Can't really say much more without giving away the movie but that slow moving very campy and the actors all look like they're reading off of q cards veryyyyyyyyy bad.

If any movie makes you want to come thru the screen and slap the skin complexion off of everything, this is it. It's 2024, extremely out of touch with reality. From the overbearing mother treating the son like he's incapable of wiping his own @ss properly to the deplorable guest who imposed on EVERY aspect of the wedding. I don't know a woman alive who would allow this kind of treatment. It's disgusting, and on my mama kids if it wasn't included in my subscription I would never take the time to figure out how it was that aShanti came to allow this plus one person to come ruin her wedding. The "Marshall" guy is a pansy, and the way aShanti complies to his wishes and requests is deplorable, considering she's marrying someone else... Just awful. Don't do it to yourself. 🙄😒👎🏾

I saw all the big time actors and got excited. Now I can't believe that they would agree to such a project. I'm getting publicity stunt vibes here! They wanted to be in the worst movie ever so people would talk about it... and them. There were some bad actors and bad acting from both the known and unknown actors, which means the directing and production team is to blame for this horrible, horrible movie. Do better people. 1/10 is generous. The scene with the wedding dress on the beach had to be the worst. I kept watching thinking, "it'll get better" but NOPE. I'm sure this is not "The WORST movie EVER!" But it's on the list.

Cedric is barely in the movie. I was very disappointed with the acting and it was downright unacceptable how they treated the bride (Ashanti). I made an account just to leave this review. There was no comedy and it was not funny at all. I was more annoyed and angered by all the horrible treatment the bride received. The bride didn't get anything she wanted and they let the friends girlfriend walk all over her and do way too much. I do not recommend and I don't know how this got produced. The music was overbearing as welll. Do not waste your time watching this trash. There were no good aspects of the film.
