Was expecting better

Couldn't quite say that this was a bad episode, it was solid enough to be watchable but nothing quite above that status however. This episode largely focuses on the character of agent Nazan. Usually I wouldn't be interested in a storyline about a character that's playing second fiddle to the overall plot. But I was actually invested in this character. Her backstory kind of paved the way for her character to gain some ground in this story. There's a certain route there'll probably go with her character but so far I'm really liking her.

Couldn't say the same for Bob. I know the intention was for me to dislike him but so far, he has contributed little to nothing to the heist. He has made a lot mistakes and it's pretty cliché as to where he'll end up by the end of the show but I'm not gonna look into that.

I think there were good things and bad things about this episode. I saw green and yellow before this, and those were episodes that saw some progress and expanded upon that. This was sort of like a hurdle to get over though I wouldn't say it was a complete waste.

Oh :/

This is the third episode I've watched after the second(green) and the fifth(violet) and i can assure to you that this is by far the worst of the three and definitely the worst to start with!

Orange is the color of emotion, adventure and creativity and the good thing about this episode is that it filled with these things.

Downside of this episode? Its bad, unlikeable and filled with cliches.

I dont know if im supposed to hate Nazzan Abbasi or the original actress because of how good she played the most hated character in this show(at least to me) and to that i say good job!

Im gonna watch episode 6(red) after this one.

Kind of upsetting

Warning: Spoilers
This episode brings in some upsetting developments. Jai Courtney is a good actor who is becoming typecast as an insufferable jerk. He was excellent at that kind of role in Jack Reacher as the opponent of Tom Cruise's character, but in that film the viewer got to celebrate his death at the hands of the title character/hero. Arrogant characters are used as foils for the heroes in dramas, and Jai is filling the role well.

It looks as though he's going to be a villain here and possibly the mole who is passing info to the feds. Of course, he could be just an insufferable jerk who will draw our suspicions before the mole is revealed. Still, his downfall will be applauded by viewers whether or not he's the mole.

"Orange" is bringing some tension to the story while also introducing a positive character in the role of Te-Te. Agent Nazan is despicable, of course, and the attempt at making her seem sympathetic by showing the situation with her son is falling flat. She's a villain, full of evil intent.

Unbelievable writing... literally
nemesis-8812 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The whole FBI agent saga is a total fantasy. Holes in every minute of the episode. If Abissa was caught abusing drugs, she would have to be arrested and be indicted for at least four felonies. Indictment makes it impossible to work for the FBI, whether a person was convicted or not. If she wasn't indicted or arrested, it means FBI is corrupt which doesn't correspond to her "stickler to the rules" image.

But it doesn't end there. During her "oh I had such a difficut life" monologue she says she "joined the FBI after 911". Niousha Noor is 36, her character must be somewhere in that time frame. 9/11 happened TWENTY TWO YEARS AGO. She was FOURTEEN. As much as they want to, FBI doesn't recruite 8-graders. One must have a bachelor degree and two years of work experience MINIMUM to work for the FBI. So it would be at least 10 years "after 9/11" when she could "go to mosques to root out radicals".

The whole "Te-Te" arrest and deportation is an unbelievable. Literally, I don't believe it. Arresting the nanny of a powerful New York attorney with connections they keep hinting at on a tip from a disgraced agent caught with drugs in her pocket... Even the FBI we know wouldn't do that. And no sane judge would deport an older woman with such a history. And then Abissa says she "has friends in ICE". And they would even pick up the phone after her drug arrest!? And those friends are more powerful than Mercer's connections? Not to mention Te-Te totally falls under Obama's DREAM executive order.

All-in-all, very "clickbait" writing with total disregard for facts, logic or common sense. This is my fourth episode, and this show is shaping up to be a total waste of time.
