Poignant but needs to be better

A good episode about things that can happen and affect family.

The Americans often aren't the best!

Giving the SBS, an equal if not better special ops service, the worst British accents ever and a very small part.

SBS casting disgrace
chuckkcash28 November 2021
I have loved this series and will continue to do so. Jason's story is hugely important and the final story tie ins, for all of the Team, are now starting to happen. Overall I would give this show a 9/10.

But, as a Brit can I just say to the Producers how disrespectful the SBS casting and writing was, however brief their part. These guys are just as hard, if not harder than SEALs and yet they both looked & behaved like junior IT office staff. For a show that has given so much in painting the picture of modern war and it's actors, I was extremely disappointed in this.

Downhill this series.

Just like a fellow contributer, I am also a Brit and find in disrespectful how SEAL Team portrays British SF. A few series ago the SAS were portrayed as amateur cowboys, now the SBS? Seriously?

On top of that this transition to Paramount is awful. Gone are the action and great writing. Now it just seems so depressing, miserable and no action. It's like Dad's Army. Paramount single handly ruined the series. Well done. Slow clap...

A Metaphor for the USA
goodwalk-6367629 November 2021
I'm a bit slow.... But I've finally figured out that the show is a metaphor for the USA - Jason and the USA are failing both physically and mentally. Illness and and physical decline is a theme that pervades the show.

Morally, the characters are uncertain of direction. No real clarity of purpose.

The relationships in the show are as dysfunctional as the American Dream.

No one is pulling in the same direction. There is no sense of purpose. No feeling that there is a bright future (or even an acceptable future) that is worth the sacrifices being made.

Everything is joyless. Including Jason's romantic interludes.

Now that I understand where the show is going, I appreciate the artistic value of the writing. But is it entertaining? Depends on what you are looking for. Some could find it depressing, albeit enlightening.

Warning: Spoilers
The scriptwriters of this show have been most of the time more intellectual until this episode. Turkey is a longtime Nato ally and you insult both Turkey and Brit forces In order to protect an arm dealer who provides weapons to the Terror Organizations in Iraq and Syria Bravo team engages a battle with so called Turkish mercenery? This is Total bs In Northern Iraq there are Turkish Bases they fight against the terrorist group PKK that is also identified as a terror group by US So no mercenery You inplayed poor here poor judgement and knowledge.

More drama less action
nautikalhorizon30 November 2021
This series continues to pick up speed going downhill. There used to be better writing, better acting, and more action. Now it has become more drama-filled, bad writing, terrible acting, little action, and most of it makes absolutely no sense. Sadly, it's not the Seals Team it once was.
