The spy that loved me...
Filmnerd9716 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I used to find Myers character irritating, and found the episodes with him a little grating compared to the much loved inventor, James Pendrick.

But after seeing his story and character develop over fifteen seasons, and now to find out he has a wife and adult-ish children, who also either adore him, or are irritated by him, it's quite a nice rounding of his character.

In fact, I found it sort of romantic that his wife, despite being an Austrian spy, does love him, and was compromised by the fact someone at a part saw her exit his spy lair, who she then killed...

...and then one of her Austrian accomplices tried to kill Myers- after he then killed him- Because Meyers has a bleeding heart, and loves her, just as she loves him, even if they're both spies.

It's even sweeter that actors Peter Keleghan and Leah Pinslet, who played Myers and and his wife/The two spies who got married and had a family, are actually married Actors.

At last a decent Terrance Meyers episode
boxyfella21 March 2022
Murdoch and the Inspector investigate when a man is stabbed during a party, where the guests are playing 'Cats and Dogs'. They find, to their surprise, that the house owner is Terrance Meyers, who is going under the name of Lyle Andersen, and lives there with his wife, in his 'normal' life. Instead of Miss Hart, who might not be trusted to keep his secret, Murdoch calls in Julia to do the forensic work.

It must be said that the last few Terrence Meyers episodes, especially those also involving Alan Clegg, have been awful, but this one was so good, because it was so different.

The sub-plot involving Detective Watts' and George's investigation into the case of a missing man detracted from the main story and went nowhere. It definitely looks as if the writers are setting something up between Detective Watts and Milo Strange.

Great Whodunnit

Really like these where it's a real guessing game as to whom is guilty.

But do we have to be tortured now every show concerning a gay relationship budding? PC gone wild with this show. George always is a plus after missing a show.

This was some awesome writing, I tell you. This episode was so engaging and kept you guessing all the way up until the final scene. Now THIS is the Murdoch we've been waiting for!

The Name is Meyers....Terence Meyers!

Warning: Spoilers
I watched this episode just now and I must say it was quite an interesting concept.

So many twist reveals and unexpected surprises and I got to learn that there was a lot more to know about Mr Meyers himself than we already knew of him.

Plus I thought the James Bond reference at the end was pretty amusing. LOL!

Remove Detective Watts from series
misisix11 November 2021
I wish Detective Watts was removed from the series because it reduces the enigmatic aspect of the series. This series was better as it was centered on its main detective William Murdoch.

A new low
wendell_watkins26 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Just when I thought the show couldn't get any worse! Actually the one scene where the children are told that their mother is a murderer and adulteress and they would never see her again as she'd run off with her lover and then they have the ho hum reactions of badly written characters was bad enough . But that was only the culmination of a wholly horrible script. This series has sunk so low it's next to frightening.
