I think this show was not just to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show itself, but also as part of the 25th anniversary of Channel 4. Either way, I was really looking to seeing the show that launched the careers of comedians like Harry Enfield as Loadsamoney, Harry Hill, and its host Ben Elton. This anniversary show saw Marcus Brigstocke take the place as host, and the show consisted of some new and rising comedy, some familiar, and some music as well. Performers included Jimmy Carr, Lee Mack, David Mitchell and Robert Webb, We Are Klang (Greg Davies, Steve Hall and Marek Larwood), Jo Caulfield, Jocelyn Jee Esien, original host Elton doing stand-up, and music from Bon Jovi and Hard-Fi. It might not have been the most hilariously funny show I have seen, but as a celebration it was certainly worth watching. Good!
