It was difficult to follow the nuances of the narrative. What was the purpose of the long drive with Jorge and Angela taken hostage? The repellent perps had ample opportunity to kill Jorge, if that was their assignment. But it made no sense just driving around in the rain.
The main focus of the film was really not on Jorge, but Angela. Clearly a damaged soul, Angela is not just looking for a good time, but is also a drug addict. The fateful moment when she declared that she needed some "blow" and left her apartment is a moment she surely will remember and regret. The actress playing Angela was terrific, which was the only redeeming feature of this bleak film.
