I enjoyed the movie a lot but the ending was not up to the mark. They caught the guy in such a simple manner when he was literally uncatchable in all of the movies duration. The guy kept saying things just for sunny deol to swoop in and save the day. A much better ending would have been her dying with one star on one of her thousand pieces. Would have been an awesome twist ending but I guess people don't accept sad endings, But it was still a good movie and I would still recommend people to watch it. The story was good and I rarely see movies with serial killer being revealed in the beginning of the movie.

Let be me short and to the point.

I agree on some of the things that the killer unknown as "Danny" says about his love of the movies and how the movies should be seen.

• Each movie has its own art
• Review it as being original
• Don't "abuse" if you don't like it. It is someone's baby.

Etc.

I agree because I have felt them so many times. I do watch the ending credits in the theatre instead of going out. I try to "feel" the movie from the start, but as the movie tries "hard" on me to make me bored, I stop my trials to enjoy it.

This one looked and felt the same. So many, so many weak points.

I thought, Sunny Deol was returned! He had new looks and returned with the original style etc. 20 minutes of the starting looked fine and grasping.

Sunny Deol is an inspector started thinking seriously and critically, noticed the small evidence which could lead to the murderer (which was unknown at that time) and that all looked great!

But then the movie falls into a poorly written, long love trap. Hell!

Again and again, this Danny and the girl meets, kisses and man! Are we watching chup?

Their mating scenes made the flow of the movie toooo slow. (yes 3 extra Os).

Arre, killer agar killer hai to uska reason bhi proper do na! In the last some of his family moments are shown, and then a poor angle of Guru Datta was presented and ... why says he is a psycho? Yes, Bollywood style psycho indeed.

We are not convinced that this person has killed these people this brutally, just because of these critical reviews. No reason to believe this. If you have watched GUPT then the end was satisfying that Kajol can kill people. But here, no reason. Felt like the makers wanted to show "their ability" to show brutal killing and blood like Hollywood, and so to do that they wanted a story. So, the reverse.

WTF Sunny Deol was doing? He lost all of my hopes in him. I thought he would road "CHUPP!" in his style, but he NEVER did. In a single scene! In the movie only one time Danny shouts CHUP to the girl, that's it.

They have completely missed the opportunity of the name CHUP. After the interval, Pooja Bhatt (the most disappointing character) enters. Sunny deol, who was the "serious" type and fast-thinking character, was shying in front of her! No continuity in the character development! In the last scene, Sunny jumps from the 5th floor and breaks his legs... what? I mean, what?

Some of the good things:

• Clear scenes of cuts, and blood were sown which are not of this quality in Bollywood
• Many real-life things like reviewers (like me) write long reviews and suggest the movie be short
• The background theme tone (tudutudu tu) was amazing. Could have been used much better by some other director.

• Cinematography looked great in the first 30-40 minutes but after that, just the poor night scenes and old Bollywood-style stuff

70% of the movie is about Danny's love and 29% is about Sunny Deol's investigation. 1% of the space Amitabh Bachchan takes (with his boring speech)

Overall.

A FILM WITH A HIGHLY MISSED OPPORTUNITY WITH A WEAK CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND PLOT.

(Why is it getting 8 stars, maybe because of fear)

Chup Film directed by R balki who is famous for directing films having unique plots like Ki and ka Etc has given another big hit . The film may start slow in the first half but in the second half it covers all the plot points.

Acting - Dulquer Salman has just killed the role .What a actor ! He steals the show with his marvelous sadistic acting and his smile its just wonderful.

And the others Sunny ,Shreya and Bhatt have done their parts well too.

Songs- The old songs were just too good .Especially songs from "Khagaaz Ka phool " .And the background "Tu tu " sound was a cherry on top .Whenever the "tu tu " music used to come ,Oh god it still gives me goosebumps .

Gor scenes - I really liked that R balki has not stoodback when it comes to Gor scenes especilly those Liver,brain and scene where Journalist are getting their neck choped off and stuff .

Climax - I felt the climax scene could be much better and more satisfying .

But overall the movie the Good ,loved the acting and Beautiful scenes .

The movie is very slow and does not pick up the pace at anytime. Climax is very weak, lacks logic and has no confrontation or face off between dulquer and Sunny Deol.

There are only 3 main characters in the movie so it's very easy to guess who is the killer. No action in the movie and high drama. There was no strong reason to cast Sunny Deol as there was no action or dialogue baazi. Dulquer was fine but didn't had the feel of a psychopath killer. No good music or thrilling scenes. It's wrong to call it a thriller as the movie is slow paced that I felt no thrill at all. Amitabh Bachchan was wasted and didn't understand what was the point of him having one scene.

The movie is a gripping masterpiece which kept me at the edge of my seat! R Balki brought out the best in Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Deol. The references to Guru Dutt's Kagaz Ke Phool were heart touching, and very tastefully handled. The movie has its own unique set of pace, some of us might find it slow, but it is very crucial to bring out the sad reality the Indian cinema has been facing off lately. The story takes us on an journey of a man who decides to take the matter in his own hands, and the melancholic and Sadistic turn of events which follow!

It is a must watch for the average viewers, but I would really urge the critics to pay attention to this movie.

Needless to say it will definitely blow your mind away!
