It's an interesting, if stretched episode.

Peter Carmody certainly has charisma, enough to draw others into his fantasy land of lies and deceit. The Police call on Janet for help in her professional capacity as a Profiler.

I did enjoy it, but just feel the script is pushing it a bit at times, one of those stories where Silent Witness blurred into Waking the Dead a little. You fault fault the acting, or the production values, maybe the plot is just a bit off, especially when you consider others in this series.

Another of those episodes where you wonder why on Earth Janet put up with Leo, he's so cold towards her, and she's so loving, she should have ditched him.

It's flawed, but enjoyable, 6/10.

Disappointing season so far and this episode fails as well

The ending leaves you hanging. There should have been a third part to resolve the surprise at the end. True to form for SW, these abrupt and unresolved endings common to many episodes of this show, can only be the product of a rushed and careless writer/director/producer hurrying to get ready to shoot the next episode.

Run, Part 2

A good story, initially it seems as if it's about conspiracies, bent cops, etc. (Line of Duty territory), but it turns out to be something completely different. A good portrayal of the workings of a sociopath.

I tend to be not too keen on secondary plots in Silent Witness, but this one was quite moving.

Carmody is a nut case who believes he is being directed by some ephemeral entity. He is charismatic and get people to do his bidding. His outrageous behavior makes the authorities seem to be the villains. However, as time passes it becomes obvious that the police and the pathologist are not the bad guys. There is a subplot dealing with Harry's mother and a family friend who has died. It is pretty intense.
