Meh.

Warning: Spoilers
I always hope with every new episode of family guy, they will bring back some magic. The best partt about this episode was that it didn't suck. It wasn't dreadful to watch, Peter singing black Betty was amusing and catchy.

My main complaint is the way they changed all of the characters this season. They have boiled down Chris to a masturbator, they aren't even subtle funny jokes anymore! It is just straight out with no humor involved. Stewie has become only some toddler. I love Chris Parnell, but his character is somewhat insufferable. What happened to the Stewie-Brian plot lines? Lately it is just Brian calling out, or 'fixing' Stewies problem. There hasn't been an adventure in seasons, let alone any mention of time travel! Give him that good mix of genius AND baby, I'm honestly getting sick of these toddler plotlines. Brian has been sidelined and boiled down to some dog to only be the voice of reason for Stewie. Lois has become crazy and insufferable, or some netrual character. Even though Peter is the main star of these plot lines, it seems as if he is gone most of the episode. And Quagmire... jesus. He has been pushed to the side MAJORLY and only used as a crazy cat guy. Where is his creepy plot lines? Theyre offensive sure, but they're funny. They're what make family guy, well, family guy. Before now they always pushed the barriers of comedy, and PC standards. Now they've given into them. Where is Joe and Cleveland? They're only here for a couple of minutes. Bring them in! This episode overall was enjoyable, but the quality makes you feel incomplete.

Somewhat amusing
petertheteslafanman8 November 2021
This episode didn't have any particularly outstanding moments but it also wasn't bad. But it was amusing to watch. I liked the ridiculousness of the Stewie plot line. Peter and Bonnie was an unusual pairing but the premise of their subplot was also amusingly absurd. The cutaways were pretty funny overall.

Episode 2006

Warning: Spoilers
Black Betty will never not be funny, no matter what context it is in.

The episode didn't really make sense, but by modern Family Guy standards it wasn't bad.

It's lame
milad-doorbash10 November 2021
Man, I'm a huge fan of Family Guy but in the last two seasons it became lame and weird I feel like they making it just because they have to do it! That's it. I prefer re-watching old seasons on YouTube at least Jokes were funny back then.

Such a hilarious episode.

Hahaha! Stewie's plot with the cooties was hilarious and Peter's subplot with Bonnie was also interesting and unusual in a good way. Great episode! This season is much better than the last few seasons.

Best episode in the season so far! Hope to see more of Peter and Bonnie! Even a hoockup would be nice, but friendship would be better... .Maybe both....

Genuinely one of the worst episodes of television I have ever seen
willsorg19 January 2022
McFarland and his other writers are actively contributing to the death of animation as a fresh or engaging medium and this episode is one of the greatest examples of everything they are doing wrong. It tries far too hard while also putting no effort into actually making anything work. The jokes are tired and the laughable attempt at a poignant moment is almost insulting.

Also the Chris masterbation jokes are disgusting.

Family Gone
metalrob-4480521 June 2023
Full disclosure...I stopped watching FG after season 18. It was just a pale shadow of its former self. However, a few months ago, circa Feb 2023, I decided to catch upon all the episodes I missed. I made it halfway through season 19 before giving up...again. This weekend, I decided to try again. I'm now 6 eps into season 20. It's mind boggling how every episode is worse than the one immediately proceeding it. It just gets worse and worse. The stories are unfunny, the jokes fall flat, the characters are completely neutered. Cootie & The blowhard is so far the worst of the bunch. But...it's not Disney that turned FG into an unfunny mess. It's Seth himself, who's become too worried about offending the blue hairs on Twitter. That, and the lame political jokes he has to shove into EVERY episode. We get it Seth, you hate anyone to the left of Bernie Sanders.

Wow

Warning: Spoilers
Family Guy is so unwatchable now it hurts. I genuinely struggled to finish this episode. Fox, it's time to put this show to bed. This is just painful and downright sad. End this show and let Seth free. The only people who still enjoy Family Guy now are you. You just want cash, you want money. What a sad pathetic company you guys are. Your a disgrace and you don't deserve to still be a thing.

Pretty lame, actually.
herculeanes9 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The whole episode revolves around one idea - the character does one thing, thinking that he is doing another. "Peter acts like he's having sex, not food", "Stewie acts like he's terminally ill" and "Chris acts like he's the father of the family."

This principle is too obvious, redundant, and there is nothing unexpected in these jokes. All this has already been in Family Guy or other shows, including from Seth MacFarlane.

The references are inappropriate and falls flat. The show tries to be relevant, but mentions a movie like The First Wives Club, which was not even relevant at the time of its release. By the time the Family Guy makes an awkward joke about the Squid Game, the Squid Game will be over or a new show will be popular.

And why did the Family Guy writers decide that jokes about Uber are comedy gold? It's basically just a taxi. These jokes were not fresh even a few years ago, let alone today.

I used to dislike Matt Stone & Trey Parker for criticizing the the writers of Family Guy. Now I'm starting to agree with them. This is just pathetic.

This show has overstayed it's welcome. Just cancel it already.

Weird spoof
rmmil8 November 2021
I'm a long time fan of the series...but a "Philadelphia" spoof? Really? Seth Macfarlane is still obsessed with AIDS jokes, for some reason.

How insanely un-timely. Maybe throw in a few "Charles in Charge" or "Bonanza" jokes next time?

Bad timing
10086cn8 November 2021
Did... did Lois just make Chris lose No Nut November on purpose? I mean, it's November right now, and this episode was just released an hour ago (as of typing this), which is really weird. Bad timing for this episode to have been released right now if anything, to be completely honest.
