This anime deserves more love and this episode proves it. Astounding OST by composers everyone already loves (Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto) for their works like AOT. The animation and action was stellar. And the story just keeps getting better and adding more layers of mystery on the overarching threat of the Legion. Truly is a hidden gem right now within the community.

The action in this episode is just INCREDIBLE!! Animation and CG comes together perfectly! I can not get over how good this looks! I have seen a lot of anime where the use of CG was just distracting, but here i was not pulled out at any minute!
I think I got chills multiple times and that cliffhanger ending almost made me yell out loud! Soundtrack was also amazing!! This show might have one of my favorite anime soundtracks outside of AOT...
The direction was also phenomenal! Great use of long takes and everthing just moved so smoothly!

Full-blown action on the largest scale

The fifth episode of the second part of 86 sounds the bell for the climax of the series. Like the previous episodes, the first half of 'Even So' is narrated from the perspective of the 86, whereas the second half finally doubles back to Lena.
This episode is pretty much gold. The action is fantastic; I don't think I've ever seen an anime where the CGI and the traditional cel animation blended together so well. (At least I'm assuming that most of the action was done by CGI; I certainly didn't notice any flaws, unlike some certain other SciFi-esque with human-steered robots.) The story finally comes to a head, beautifully underlined by the amazing cinematography. And of course it all ends with a cliffhanger; this is just the beginning of the climax, after all.
