Disclaimer: I have only listened to the first 2 podcasts at the time of this review.
I just started listening to this podcast after Rob Lowe's interview on Smartless.
The concept, at least for the first episodes, is actually close to what Smartless used to be: Hollywood "celebrities" interviewing other celebrities they have been friends with for years.
(Smartless is still good but it feels too often like a regular interview of someone on a promotion tour now. I personally prefered when it was people they had an actual personal connection with)
Of course, if you don't enjoy listening to cis rich straight white male talking about their privileged life, this may not be for you. And I get it. Lots of talks of trips to Europe, rubbing elbows with the rich and famous, golfing and other experiences that you and I will never have. It can be infuriating to some, but I personally like that there are still movie/tv stars. I think of it as them being an objective, an example for people who dream of making it in that business and a good counterbalance to all the awful news coming from hollywood every week.
If you can get past this, you may enjoy this fun podcast that humanizes, in my opinion, celebrities. Also, I didn't really know or have an opinion on Rob Lowe and I was surprised at how interesting and talented he is as a radio/podcast host.
If acting role offers ever dry up, I hope we'll get to see him hosting a talk show on TV or Youtube.
