In addition to Short Ends. (2008) and LCRS (2010) a third film was planned as part of the "Keckler Cycle." Entitled "LFOA," it would have seen the return of several characters from the first movie (Travis Crowley, Rose Blist and Daniel Litman) as participants in the film festival promoted by Ben and Charles.
Ben's comment to Adam about "dressing up like a robot" is a reference to Short Ends. (2008) in which Luke Reichley had a cameo appearance as the "So-Bot" in Travis Crowley's "Weedman" films.
The character of Brenna Blackfold was written specifically for Samantha Cross. She and Alek Talevich had been classmates in Fairhaven College's script writing courses, and the two were constantly asked to perform together due to their "mutual volume."
The fates of many of the Keckler students from Short Ends. (2008) are revealed through the course of the film. Thomas Pinksi has become a grade school teacher in Idaho, Tim La Lanne has produced a hit one-man play based off of his version of the events from the first movie, Daniel Litman's documentary has become a viral/pop culture meme', Rose Blist has transferred to Sarah Lawrence College in New York, Travis Crowley now works for the Tilling-Landers-Schreine talent agency, and David Lemmons has wound up as Todd Ulright's roommate. Only Melody Taft's whereabouts remain unknown.
Filmed over the course of four weekends on a budget of $200.
