Not the best episode of the season. The plot was as messy as the characters that were getting overdosed. That said, Missy Peregrym's acting was superb as always.

Probably the most boring episode of FBI to date. This episode aired one day before the DEA announced a sharp increase in overdose deaths in America between April 2020 and April 2021. It can't be a coincidence that this episode featured two drug addicts, who both overdosed, though not fatal at the time. Fentanyl was mentioned in one of them. Maggie Bell's character overwhelmed to the point of tears was the highlight for me but I am disappointed in the plot. It seemed to be designed to highlight the drug overdose epidemic but using a child abduction case to do it is silly. Plus, every person of interest lied to the FBI every chance they got. It was ridiculous.

So, Maggie completely screws up an FBI operation, causes an officer to get shot, and there are no consequences? Everyone is just like, hey, it's okay? Yeah, not buying it. I hope the sister-addict story-line goes away soon; I know it's supposed to be all poignant and emotional, but I'm just not feeling it. This whole story was just...tiresome. Dad od's while waiting to pay ransom for his daughter? Really??? Then attacks the kidnapper and gets killed. Then Mom just keeps defending him and making up excuses? So now the poor kid has no parents, because Dad is dead and Mom is in prison. By the end, I'd really just lost interest.
