There were two nasty old alligators in this episode. One of them was made out of wood, and tossed into the fire when Ramsay rebranded the restaurant to become The Junction. The other vile creature should have been burned too.
Adele, Bill, and their daughter Cheryl own and run Flamangos, a Florida themed restaurant. Having lived in Florida for many years, it looked like the kind of tourist restaurant that is on the side of many highways in Florida.
For reasons unknown, Ramsay hated the place from the minute he stepped into it. I guess he has never driven around Florida, and been to many roadside diners. One of the waitresses said that Adele wanted the place to be a high-end restaurant, and that seemed contrary to the touristy look.
Adele was a very angry and nutty person. Why would you build a Florida tourist restaurant in New Jersey? It seemed bizarre. Flamangos would have been perfect at a Florida Turnpike exit, but not in New Jersey.
The issues with the bad food were fixed by creating a small menu that the chef could handle. That seems to be the formula for every Kitchn Nightmares show. Create a small menu that a crappy chef can handle, and voila!
Adele's husband Bill is a nice guy, and Adele treats him like a work animal. If you check Kitchen Nightmares Updates, you can find links to Adele and Cheryl's facebook pages. There is very little about Bill. I wonder if he passed away? He was the nicest member of this ownership group.
