this story line could have been good but the writers chose to make the villain's characters very shallow and generally non-threatening ........it's a heck of a thing when you have a dozen villains and the scariest one is an old lady in a wheelchair........i've said it before and i'll say it again ........hollywood and especially TV, has lost the ability to write scary villains .....it's really too bad.........one of the scariest things about red john is that he is invisible, and that's probably a good thing because if they showed him they would probably mis-cast the part as usual and the character would wind up weak and under-developed........i can hardly wait for that non-event..............as well, maybe it might make more sense to go with real writers instead of producers who are too busy and too young hacks who don't understand the character ..........you know who you are..............i mean, we've never seen jane act so stupidly before for no other reason than to be oblivious and passive-aggressive and totally without a plan of action.........generally his rudeness, inappropriate behavior and p-a are designed to illicit a response from a suspect.......not here.......it was like a bizarro jane from another dimension with no real relationship to the character that made the show in the first place............the whole thing was a waste of great character actors and was almost like the story was too big and poorly tailored for the writers to put into an hour(or actually 45 or 50 min.).............all in all, didn't care for it.
