This is why people HATE insurance companies
MiketheWhistle29 October 2020
This ep should be mandatory to be watched by every politician and judge before they make decisions regarding insurance. I'm a republican and think the ACA was bad law but not bad policy. I do believe if everyone has insurance our country would be far better off and I don't need to go to Sanders' screaming point that it's right because I don't know if it should be a right. Some things are just good policy regardless if it's a right. Like abortions limited until a fetus is viable may be good policy although I strongly disagree with it.

Also, the whole ethics behind should Will have made a deal and drop the class action involves a lot of lawyer ethics and conflict of interests. The show makes us think about a lot of things. That's why it's a good show and this ep well worth watching.

You've Got to Have Heart ****

Warning: Spoilers
This was absolutely one of the best episodes of this wonderful ongoing show. Julianna Margulies and Josh Charles give Emmy nominated calibrated performances in this show. Human dignity and the human side of people were both vividly shown here.

The company argues a case where an insurance company will not cover the needed operation to save a fetus. The company resorts to all kinds of gimmicks including the fact that the father of the child had lied on his application to get insurance. It is only when our law firm is able to show that they purposely go after applications when it appears that they have to pay for procedures, is just done.

The human side is that the head of the law firm finally shows he is human and shows it towards Alicia.

Alicia immediately runs home to her husband who is working with a black minister so as to improve his poll numbers among black women.

An insightful show, one of the best this season. Very highly recommended to all.

[6.8] Heart is not soul

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 17: Average to good episode with some matters of mild-strong interest in it, centered on dilemmas out of court mostly, surrounding plots & sub-plots with some uninteresting fillers as those would most probably be stuck to this episode, also a little too much artificial family drama, especially toward the end.
