Earlier this year, Tanushree Dutta had a couple of back to back releases in the form of Rokkk and Apartment. While she awaits the release of her impending Raama - The Saviour, she hasn't signed on anything new. One of the major reasons that none of the actors gave a nod to films was the slowdown that the industry was facing for a couple of years."That's right, the industry was going through a bad patch for some time and especially last one year," says Tanushree, "Options were pretty limited for a lot of people. However, in the last few months, I have seen some good change coming in. There are offers coming in but I am still holding on rather than committing to projects. Reason being that there are many better projects in the pipeline. Of course, I can't talk about them now but I would...

But, the actress who is high on life is missing the presence of a special someone in her life. Ask her why we have not heard much about romantic linkups involving your name, and she says smilingly, “Yes, because there is nothing going on. Tanushree Dutta is pleased with the response of her recent movie Rokkk and is optimistic that her career is now back on track. “Apartment is now ready for release and Rokkk has already seen good feedback coming my way,” she says, “Recently, I also had a Tamil release, Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai, which worked well at the box office. I was thankfully very busy right through 2009 - it really went fast for me. I am positive that the scenario will turn out to be the same or perhaps even better in the months to come."
Tanushree certainly deserves her success. She has worked hard to change around the stereotypical assumptions that were made about her when she first joined the industry. “I was slotted in a certain bracket,” she explains, “I was told that people expected me to be a hot and sultry woman in each of my films. I can see that today,...

She created a buzz in Bollywood with her debut in Aashiq Banaya Aapne but Tanushree Dutta's career soon fizzled out and the actress blames the judge mental nature of the film industry for it.
