FromSoftware’s titles are notorious for their difficulty and hauntingly beautiful worlds. The recent Shadow of the Erdtree Dlc for Elden Ring has brought a new foe that has sent shivers down the spines of veteran Soulsborne players.
The particular enemy has stirred memories of past creatures players fought against in Dark Souls games. We are talking about the unforgettable Scorpioness Najka as Hidetaka Miyazaki yet again channels his creative genius to give players another similar yet unique mixed humanoid-insect creature.

The legacy that FromSoftware has managed to build itself over the years was with the help of amazing RPG titles that have never disappointed fans. However, the black sheep of this series of games remains Bloodborne, a title that was released exclusively for PlayStation and remains locked there to date.
Furthermore, being one of the most unique releases the studio has ever done, the game has also built a separate following of its own. David Jaffe, the director of the initial God of War games on the other hand believes that the game might be a victim of exaggeration instead.

Now that players have had a fair bit of time exploring Shadow of the Erdtree, the general verdict is finally out. Elden Ring‘s one and only expansion is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most remarkable and challenging gaming experiences FromSoftware has ever produced.
From a lore standpoint, though, there are still many questions that need to be answered, especially about Miquella. Recently, one of the more prominent points of discussion involves the relationship of the controlling Empyrean with our Spectral Steed, Torrent.

FromSoftware’s crown as the hardest game producer might soon be getting contested as players have finally begun to speak about the absurd difficulty established in Shift up’s Stellar Blade after a player reaches a certain milestone.
Starting a new game file after you have completed the title for the first time, also called Ng+, often makes all the enemies a bit harder than before to cope with the already advanced player. However, things start to get a bit out of hand if the player decides to opt for the hard mode while choosing the Ng difficulty in the PlayStation-exclusive title.

The gaming community is once again debating the difficulty and mechanics of FromSoftware’s popular titles. This time, it’s Elden Ring and its expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, versus the classic Dark Souls 1.
The comparison has sparked a lot of conversation among fans, with many concluding that the first Dark Souls game, despite its legendary status, feels a lot clunkier in comparison.

The popular fantasy action RPG video game “Elden Ring” could be headed for a film or television adaptation, George R.R. Martin wrote on his blog Saturday. Martin, the “Game of Thrones” author who’s also behind the acclaimed game’s worldbuilding, explained, “Oh, and about those rumors you may have heard about a feature film or television series based on Elden Ring… I have nothing to say. Not a word, nope, not a thing, I know nothing, you never heard a peep from me, mum mum mum. What rumor?”
A film or TV adaptation would be a first for the game’s developer, FromSoftware, notorious for its incredibly difficult games — most notably the “Dark Souls” games and the subgenre they created. Though Martin didn’t exactly confirm any such adaptation is in the works, the tone of his comment — and the fact that he’s acknowledging the rumors at all — is decidedly coy.

Deviating from FromSoftware’s tradition of making dark fantasy Arpg video games, the Armored Core franchise happens to stick out from the bunch as it remains one of the few titles that does not feature impossible-to-clear difficulty levels, and at the same time contains a unique feature that is yet to be seen in other titles made by Hidetaka Miyazaki.

In video game development, innovation takes time, and inspiration often comes from various sources. Sometimes, it takes developers years of hard work and dedication for a particular feature to find its way into a beloved franchise.
Such was the case with Todd Howard’s Skyrim, where a feature similar to what is found in FromSoftware’s titles took over a decade to finally be added. It was a massive undertaking for the creator to integrate this element as the available assets were limited. It tested the patience and dedication of the developers.

Darksouls and Bloodborne have collectively sold millions of copies ever since their initial release, which marked the beginning of establishing FromSoftware as one of the best studios in the market.
Hidetaka Miyazaki was able to create a huge impact on the gaming industry with his uniquely designed games, Darksouls, for portraying the dark fantasy genre with brutal gameplay, and Bloodborne, for its gothic and horror elements borrowed from gothic horror authors like H.P. Hidetaka Miyazaki is a name that is beloved by many fans of Soulslike games, including original titles like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. The success of Elden Ring has brought the creator’s team (FromSoftware) to a much-loved place of fame.
An upcoming action-adventure title, Phantom Blade Zero looks to be something inspired by the worlds created by FromSoftware, yet manages to pull off a gameplay style that mixed close-combat encounters and exploration. While it’s confirmed that we’ll see new bosses, weapons, areas, and features, the Dlc is all set to replace the troublesome Grafted Scion with a boss that’s more deadly than Fire Giant.

The first round of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree previews are starting to drop, and they have already revealed a ton of new info about the 2022 Game of the Year‘s previously mysterious Dlc. While FromSoftware is still keeping a lot of info under wraps at this time, we now know much more about the Dlc’s size, changes, difficulty (Spoilers: it’s hard), and even story than we did before.
However, the most fascinating information to emerge from those previews may be the first substantial details of the Dlc’s eight new weapon types. Here’s a breakdown of each of those new weapon types and what you can expect from them.
Beast Claws
A close-combat melee weapon, Beast Claws function largely as you’d expect them to. That is to say that they enable you to do your best Wolverine impression by launching yourself at an enemy,...

In an open-world game, one element that consistently captures the player’s attention is the NPCs. Among these, it’s the ones that react to your actions or your choices are the one that stands out the most. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released 13 years ago and it was one of the first to incorporate the reactive NPCs.
Todd Howard, director of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, wanted to make the characters in the game respond to the player’s appearance, dialogues, and actions. By setting this trend, he created a benchmark that even the likes of Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Elden Ring may have taken note of.

Each one of FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki’s games is pretty hard for any gamer. And without a doubt, this difficulty is what attracts most gamers to these games. Most of the fans know this long journey started back in 2009 with a game called Demon’s Souls. A soulslike game, pure at heart, gives gamers the kind of challenge they have never experienced before.
It was not much of a success initially, but it became a cult hit eventually. Many suggested that this game never got the success it deserved. Maybe that’s why Sony gave this game another chance and tasked Bluepoint to develop a remake exclusively for the PlayStation 5 console. While it was a brilliant remake, developer Bluepoint also added a bunch of new things to it, but one of those was something called the Fractured Mode.

Japanese designer and writer Hidetaka Miyazaki has several created award-winning video games as the director of FromSoftware. His Soulslike games, in particular, are very popular among the gaming community, but almost everyone agrees that one Soulslike game was butchered due to Miyazaki’s negligence.
Dark Souls 2
Miyazaki did an outstanding job setting up the Dark Souls series with 2011’s Dark Souls, but unfortunately, for the second game, Miyazaki wasn’t completely involved because he was more focused on 2015’s Bloodborne. As a result, Dark Souls II (2014) just couldn’t meet the expectations. While many fans believe that Dark Souls II doesn’t fit in, Miyazaki once explained how crucial the game was in setting up the future of the series.

Game director Hidetaka Miyazaki is not known for making wrong calls; over the years, he has made some very exceptional video games. From Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls to the most recent title, Elden Ring, he has made sure every person who plays this game finds it to be an unforgettable experience. And it appears he succeeded too; the game is without a doubt one of the most replayable games ever made.
Elden Ring is not the only game where he has assured such excellence. He has done this before with most, or almost every, one of his games. The best part is that DLCs for all of these titles have also remained an equally enjoyable experience. But Hidetaka Miyazaki himself suggests that one Dlc remains a reason for regret for him.

Hidetaka Miyazaki is one of the most renowned directors in the gaming industry, but that does not make him immune to making a few mistakes throughout his career. As the majority of gamers would already know, one of the most prominent features of titles produced by Hidetaka Miyazaki is how they feature an insane amount of difficulty. According to the director himself, the difficulty is put in place to help the players gain a sense of achievement when they are finally done overcoming the hardship in the level design.

What is more intriguing about the games created by Miyazaki is that despite having a difficulty level that might be too much for the players to handle at times, they do not even feature an option to tone it down a bit. This has been something that FromSoftware has even received criticism for in the past, with the studio refusing to change its stance on it.

Demon’s Souls‘ journey has been nothing short of jaw-dropping. Doomed from its inception as a failed project at FromSoftware, it was taken over by a certain enterprising developer named Hidetaka Miyazaki, and the rest is history.

For players who love challenges in their games, FromSoftware games have been their top picks for several years now. Especially when it comes to hitless runs, many even today consider FromSoftware games to be the pinnacle of difficult challenges in gaming.
For the uninitiated, a no-hit run in a game is when a player completes a game from start to finish without taking any hits. A loss of health or a stagger caused by an enemy or trap is considered to be a hit. Hits could include attacks from enemies that do not deal damage as well as status effects, such as poison.
Dark Souls
To complete such no-hit runs, players often indulge in quitouts, major skips, or glitches. Completing such no-hit runs in FromSoftware games is no ordinary feat. Given that the games are generally challenging and difficult, no-hit runs in these games are no cakewalk.

Hidetaka Miyazaki’s games, from Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring, have rich and complex lore. In fact, difficult gameplay and complex lore have become his signature elements. Although Miyazaki has created several iconic games over the years, Elden Ring is the latest jewel of his career.

Elden Ring has a vast and cryptic lore, thanks to Miyazaki’s collaboration with George R. R. Martin. While Miyazaki worked on the game’s story and characters, Martin created the overall mythology for Elden Ring. His narrative was the backstory that set the events of the game.

FromSoftware’s action-RPGs, particularly the Soulsborne series, have become synonymous with a unique brand of storytelling. Unlike games that spoonfeed narratives through cutscenes and exposition, FromSoftware’s stories are conveyed to players in a fragmented format.
This approach was pioneered by director Hidetaka Miyazaki, making players feel like they’re figuring the lore out for themselves and letting them interpret it in their own way. Dark Souls 3 was much the same in this regard, but apparently, Miyazaki does know the “perfect storyline” for the series.

This was all thanks to its captivating world and engaging combat mechanics. Just like 2018’s Déraciné, Hidetaka Miyazaki’s 2019 game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was different from other games that Miyazaki worked on with FromSoftware. However, the game is often compared to Miyazaki’s Soulsike games. The game is set in the late 1500s Sengoku-era Japan and there was a specific reason why Miyazaki chose this setting.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
In many ways, Sekiro is different from games like Elden Ring, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls. In fact, Miyazaki once pointed out this major difference between these games. Sekiro was praised for its gameplay and setting but its difficulty was quite similar to Miyazaki’s Soulslike games. In Sengoku-era Japan, a shinobi known as Wolf sets out on a journey to take revenge on a samurai clan that captured his lord.

Every soulslike game is in its own way different. While they might seem alike on the surface, games like Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls are different. There are a bunch of factors that make them stand apart: stories, characters, character progression, and most importantly, weapons. While these games often share weapon names, their functions are often pretty different from each other.
On the other hand, fans end up getting heavily upgraded versions of those weapons. Those weapons are often upgraded using the souls of bosses that players defeat. They can then fuse that boss’ soul to their weapon and get a more powerful one. Bloodborne does not have many weapons, nor does it have the ability to fuse weapons, yet this game has the most variety in weapons in a special way.

Helldivers 2 continues to be a standout success in the world of live service games. This title is made so special by the dedication of its developers. Arrowhead Game Studios has made sure that every player who buys this game has the best time possible. This is nothing new either; they have been constantly working on making this game a polished experience since the moment it was launched.
This cooperative shooter is best known for its intense gameplay. It puts players in the middle of a sprawling warzone where they have to fight a multitude of enemies that would come at them from all directions. But those are not the only enemies they see or experience; they are frustrated by one more thing that just sneaks up on them.
Helldivers 2 cannot take any more of those annoying debuffs!

So, you’ve done it. Elden Ring has fallen to your gaming prowess, and you know The Lands Between like the back of your hand. Well, there’s only one question left: “What’s next?”. You may have taken the seat as Elden Lord, but there is still much to do before you sheathe your sword.
From finding all possible weapons to ending the dominance of every boss in the game, here are seven things you can do to keep yourself busy and your skills sharp.
1. New Game+
Embark on a new and more challenging Elden Ring quest.
This may seem like a no-brainer, but what’s better than going through the game once? Going through it a second time will further optimize your all-game build. It’s not going to be as easy as you expect. Enemies have their health and damage scaled as well, so don’t think...
