Alice Morgan : I can't prove a negative. Can't be done.
DCI John Luther : Innocence is a negative. It's the absence of guilt.
Alice Morgan : Meaning the burden of proof is entirely yours.

DCI John Luther : And why's that?
Alice Morgan : Oh come now, really. Because I'd be hurt and angry.
