another cute episode

The best thing about Ghosts is ... it's just a simple, lightweight, amusing half hour, like sitcoms "back in the old days." They aren't carrying any heavy message, there's no grand angst ... it's just a fun show. The cast is diverse without hitting you over the head about it. I don't expect the show to last because it's so light and enjoyable.

Exorcism for dummies.

After an accident with the electricity, Hetty accidentally moves into Jay's body, on the very day that a wedding planner is visiting Woodstone Mansion for a potential wedding.

Definitely another favourite episode from series One, this was really very funny. The clash of people Vs ghosts has only been seen through Samantha's eyes, it's nice that we get to see things from Jay's point of view.

This is the first time really that Utkarsh Ambudkar has had a chance to shine, and show of his acting talents, he was super funny here.

I am hooked on this series.

Hetty clearly had a riot as a living being, and the viewers equally had a riotous time watching this very funny episode, 9/10.

9/10.

Mid-Season Review

I have not seen the BBC version so I don't have anything to compare it to. Overall, I thought the first half of the season was pretty funny. I binged it in a couple days. It is lighthearted and intriguing, revealing something new about the characters in each episode. The show's afterlife premise, music, performances and characters all remind me of The Good Place. This episode was one of the funniest and most exciting. I hope future episodes have a continuing mystery like the first few episodes of the series did.

Top Notch

Very well written. The way Utkarsh JAY portrayed Hetty as his possessor was absolutely priceless. This is an episode you can watch 100 times and still enjoy every second.

My favorite ep of the entire show - so far
Danno21014 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Sitting here waiting for S2E3 to pop up on my Paramount+ and thought I would come here and chime in on my #1 favorite episode of the show, an ep that I've seen about 7x now I think. It's a laugh-out-loud ep for sure.

Utkarsh should get an Emmy for nailing the character of Hetty so effectively. The way he rolled in and out of the Jay and Hetty characters from one moment to the next was some top-shelf acting. He had Hetty down pat and so impressively that at times I have to remind myself that's NOT Hetty's voice speaking but Utkarsh portraying Jay possessed by Hetty. Give that man all of the awards.

Also - Enrico Colantoni (Elliot from Just Shoot Me) shows up as a fussy and hyper-critical wedding planner, and is soon quelled by Flower who gets him absolutely baked out of his gourd.

Laugh out loud funny

The funniest episode so far. Possessed-Jay is just DEAD-on perfect! And seeing Hetty come sliding back after hitting the ghost barrier was hysterical. Plus the tripping wedding planner is classic. An ensemble triumph. This an episode to watch over and over!

Yes for the new storyline, no for the "very locally sourced squabs"

I like the fact that the show started deviating from the UK version. That way you can enjoyore original content and watch both shows.

Pthe part about pigeons was kinda disturbing though.

Possession
bobcobb30112 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
With this episode the show has officially deviated away from the UK version as this subject does not appear to have been touched on. I guess that was needed, but it was more absurd than comedic.

Not a bad episode, but just nothing special here.
