- TriviaIt isn't said if Jay Kelso is Jackie's biological son, Brooke's, or someone else's. Michael only says that, "He's got his dad's looks and his mom's brains." Jay even leaves the kitchen seconds before Jackie enters.
- GoofsDonna states that Eric is 38, but he turned 17 in 1976 so in turn that would make him 36 in 1995. This, however, is not considered a Goof per IMDB guidelines. The below is one of the items for "Unacceptable Goofs" for long-running TV shows (NB: the last sentence): These get a fair amount of latitude when it comes to continuity between episodes. It seems unreasonable to us to expect that every detail of every character's life, every setting and situation, every "fact" in the imaginary world, will be fully thought-out and properly documented when a TV series is first devised. Teams of writers work on these things over many years and it is inevitable that newer, better ideas will come along that will supplant older notions. These will not generally be considered as continuity goofs (unless they're especially interesting or amusing).

It's good to be back!
For context, I LOVED That 70s Show. I watched reruns every day after school. It was hilarious, extremely well cast and acted. You could feel the chemistry in just about every episode. The pilot for that series was pretty solid from what I remember too.
That being said, I have to agree with the others saying that the original cast may have saved this premiere from being super uninteresting? I thought all of the appearances from them were super fun. Seeing Eric and Donna as a married couple, and as parents, was actually great. Eric saying Red's iconic line from the original show was amazingly delivered!
So, the new characters? The main characters? They're just kind of okay so far. I've seen the first three episodes as I write this. I will say that I do genuinely like Leia. She feels a lot like Eric did in That 70s Show, but with just enough charm to be her own character as well. I may honestly keep watching it for her, and maybe for Kelso's son as well. Gwen may grow on me as well. I haven't grown to like any of the others yet. Hopefully that changes as the season goes on.
I'm glad Kitty and Red are here for the whole show. They're as great as they were in That 70s Show.
I will say that this DOES look and feel JUST like That 70s Show. You can tell original writers and producers are working on this.
I'm kind of impressed. Not amazed, but surprised nonetheless. Will definitely finish this season some time this year.
