- Charmaine goes into labor but is angry at Tara who, under stress from an excess of school work and the pressure of upcoming exams, has various alters emerge. After the baby is born, Charmaine makes it clear she can't trust Tara and doesn't want her around her baby. Having renegotiated a new assignment in Japan, Katr has a last minute panic attack and doesn't get on her flight. She delays going home by hanging around the airport and a new revelation suggests another career choice. A bit of advice from a flight attendant opens her eyes. It also leads to a crisis of confidence in herself. Tara tries to get out of a scheduled test but Dr. Hattaras isn't very sympathetic. At a meeting with her alters, Tara lays down the law. - Charmaine is rushed to the hospital in the same ambulance as Tara and declares Tara's craziness be kept away from her newborn child, with proud father Neil at her side. Tara's stress about exams almost pushes Max to the boiling point. Fed up and frustrated with her crazy selves, Tara gathers all of her alters and attempts to make a deal, something Dr. Hattaras finds very intriguing...Kate is stranded at the airport with a charmingly clueless luggage handler Ray and nervous to tell her parents that she couldn't go through with Japan, but the beautiful flight attendant is there to inspire her once more. Meanwhile, Marshall, Lionel and Noah use Charmaine's empty house to experiment with each other in new and exciting ways.—Showtime Publicity
- Open with Charmaine and Tara on the way to the hospital in an ambulance. Charmaine is furious that her premature labor was caused by T's car accident.
At the airport Kate is talking yet another stranger's ear off about her life, specifically why she is no longer going to Japan. She's trying to get the man, baggage guy Ray, to help her find her lost bag.
Max finds that Alice is at the hospital in the waiting room. He's pissed about the accident and wants to talk to Tara, but Alice says Tara has too much on her plat. Marshall comes in and tells Max the cops want to talk to someone about the accident. Tara returns almost immediately after Max leaves and she asks Marshall about visiting his grandmother.
The baby's head is too large and Charmaine is taken to the ER for a cesarean. She and Neil talk about names for the girl.
Marshall asks Tara how messed up their family really is. He's worried about the grandfather and the ducks wonders about the possibility of Max leaving. Marshall asks whether Tara was Tara when she had him. She assures him everything was fine. Max comes in after speaking with the cops about T. Neil comes in with news the baby has been born.
Charmaine wants to go with the name Cassandra for the baby. Charmaine says she doesn't want Tara to hold the baby and Tara leaves with Max, clearly devastated.
Marshall, Lionel and the other gay kid from their group, Noah, drink schnapps at Marshall's house. They talk about cinema and famous threesomes.
Kate runs into the flight attendant who warned her about the Japanese city. She asks whether it would be realistic to pretend to her family she was in Japan. The woman basically says anything is possible.
Marshall, Lionel and Noah begin to have what seems to be a threesome, though Marshall isn't interested in doing anything with Noah.
Tara and T argue about T breaking their deal about high jacking her body. Max walks by and talks about her needing to slow things down.
Tara tells Dr. Hattarras she can't take the upcoming test because her life is getting too complicated and it's impacting the alters. He won't budge on an extension and tells her to get her life organized.
Max stops by Neil's place as he's gathering stuff to bring back to the hospital. He's already freaking out about the sacrifices of fatherhood. Kate calls Max to pick her up at the airport.
Max comforts a distraught Kate, telling her to "feel her way" through her life.
Neil wants Cassandra's middle name to be "Wheels."
Kate and Tara talk about the many ways Kate was taught the birds and the bees by the alters. Tara assures her she can be just as strong as the flight attendant she's idolizing.
Tara visits Charmaine in the hospital. She tells Tara she still doesn't think she can trust her around the baby. Tara says she's in control "mostly. Sometimes." That doesn't seem to be enough for Charmaine. The baby is brought in to breast feed and Charmaine asks Tara to leave.
Kate gets her bag back from Ray. It's empty and he gives her a form to fill out. Kate sees the flight attendant once again and immediately says she wants a flight attendant application.
Tara is cramming for the test, much to Max' chagrin. He takes her books and throws them out the front door. He says he's trying to simplify her life. Max says he wants her to be safe, but he points out she's always done what she wants to do. The only thing she's ever sacrificed, he says, were the pills that had kept away the alters. Tara yells that she doesn't want to be "drooling in the corner" like she is when she's medicated. She wonders why Max doesn't leave, like his father did. Max says "because I love you."
We see a meeting with Tara and the alters. She's sick of the drama and is tired of babying them. Tara wants to draw up a contract where the alters tell them what they want out of life or she'll go back on the drugs. Tara declares a "benevolent dictatorship" is now in full effect.
We cut to Tara "waking up" alone in the middle of the lecture hall, covered in writing. She looks at Hattarras, who is sitting stunned at his desk. "I'm crazy," Tara says, almost in tears. "I'm f*@#ing crazy."
