- Four nights on the Isle of Wight are presented in a single edition. Featuring guests including aspiring actress Charlotte Barton-Hoare, the week was later reshown as four separate episodes in August the same year.
- The four contestants, all from the Isle of Wight, are: aspiring actress Charlotte Barton-Hoare, a romantic who is looking for a "Mr. Darcy" (of Wuthering Heights fame) to come sweep her off her feet; radio news reader Michael Coombes, whose friends consider him a bit bonkers; travel agent Mandy Gale, who has a self-professed superiority complex; and car salesman Steve Morris, who wants honesty at all cost. Living on an island, many of the four choose island themed menus. Charlotte is the first to host. Her menu consists of: Isle of Wight crab cakes as the starter, wild island pheasant with root vegetable fento moulon as the main course, and Polish rich chocolate love torte for dessert. Being a romantic, Charlotte has requested the affair to be black tie to match the formal service of the meal. But the theatrical evening has an unscripted moment involving the powder room and a guest. The second host is Michael, whose ego-driven menu consists of: tuna pâté as the starter, duck à la Coombes as the main course, and fruit Coombler for dessert. He wants the evening and menu to be simple, but will simplicity impress? Third host Steve's menu consists of: fresh Isle of Wight scallops on rocket as the starter, apple, Stilton and sage stuff pork belly as the main course, and pannetone pudding for dessert. He wants his guests to be brutally honest about the evening to him, much like he has been thus far. During the evening, he remarks that "it's funny you should say that". The last host is Mandy, whose menu consists of: seared scallops with bitter chocolate sauce as the starter, beef espetadas with papas arrugadas (which contains a special local ingredient) as the main course, and Glenside baklava for dessert. Will her self-appointed superiority translate to the evening and her scores? She will soon find out as after a round of pyrotechnics, she makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.—Huggo
