- TriviaThe piece of paper that clings to Sheldon's head immediately after throwing the Penny-specific Roommate Agreement section in the air was completely unintentional. Parsons and Galecki can be seen on the DVD set's gag reel smiling at this happening; they completed the scene, and the part where they broke character was edited out.
- GoofsNear the end of the episode, Penny's father is begging Leonard to not give up on Penny. He says that he wants "grandkids" before he dies. However, he already has at least one grandson. In season 2, episode 20, The Hofstadter Isotope, Penny goes to the comic book store looking for a birthday present for her 13-year-old nephew.
- Quotes
Wyatt: [Penny's dad, urging Leonard to get back together with her] Please, please, please don't give up on her!
Leonard Hofstadter: What?
Wyatt: I can't go back to the skateboard idiots, the white rappers, and all those sweaty dumb-asses with their backwards hats.
Leonard Hofstadter: Gee, I don't know if it's in the cards, sir.
Wyatt: Then stack the deck! Cheat! Lie! I don't care! I want grandkids before I die, and I want 'em to grow up in a house without wheels.
- Crazy creditsCHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #314 Mornings are the worst. The mind seems undefended, easy prey for both memories and imagination. What happened. What should've happened. What might happen someday. Your fault, my fault, no one's fault. The only way to relieve the torment is to get up, empty the bladder, drink the coffee, read the paper, run the treadmill, perform the animal sacrifice, paint the chicken blood on the groin and call upon the demonic spirits to bring you back. Nights are bad too. Once again, exhaustion makes the mind vulnerable to obsessing over woulda, shoulda, coulda. The only thing to do is sit alone and eat the chicken which was senselessly murdered in the morning.
