A series eclipsed by the writing
morewemallroczz4 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The series was not that bad but not that too good. It has nice OST, actors, chemistry, direction, and also the plotline...but the writing was not able to deliver it fully! It was lacking...I was disappointed at times, but anyways I enjoyed it cos of Akk and Aye!

Good job First, Khaotung, Neo, Louis...sorry idk other actors' names, I am just familiar with their faces!

The relationship dynamics between akk and aye as well as kan and Thua was good too! The trio's friendship was mature too...the character developments was not that abrupt too, it showed guilt and struggling arc for akk and I am glad he was not left alone...but was directed to right directions by his peers, teacher and Aye.

100/10 to Lead chemistry
sanniiee24 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't realized I completed watching in 1 day. I was completely into Akk Ayan. These two rivals turning to each other's support system is the highlight of this series for me. Honestly there are loopholes in the plot and story. But the lead chemistry kept me intrigued. All the actors did phenomenal job. First and Khao are AMAZING as Akk and Ayan. I laughed with them; cried with them and felt every emotions they were going through. The 'school system vs students rights' plot had major potential with or without the mystery but the script did not meet the expectations. But, I would love to rewatch it only and only for Akk Ayan and their friends.

Two broken souls can heal each other
sini-20014 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
'Eclipse' is one of those BL's that warm up to you. It gets you, and becomes somehow a comfort show. Akk and Ayan are the total opposites , that attract each other. They are both broken souls that fell in love, and helped to heal each other. I'm not saying they completely healed, but they started that healing journey together. That is a beautiful message.

As much as I loved both of their character developmens through the drama, I loved Akk's more. It was beautiful to see how much growth and inner acceptance he confronted. He had issues, like confroting himself about being gay, that he finally accepted. It was very nice touch, since it's not portrayed often. It's very difficult and hard to accept, and not easy for everyone. It felt more realistic, that he wa struggling - also the way Aya was patient and waited for him. He didn't force him into anything, which was simply amazing.

The side characters weren't as strong, and reason I am not giving the drama full 10. I did however enjoy Chadok's character and the plot twist, that made me like him. However, it was also weird and very disappointing for me how they dealed with Thua at the end. Neither of them didn't get punished, I get why Akk did not, but Thua ?! He literally destroyed school property and set that fire! Not to mention the stress and trauma his actions also caused for the protestors. For me he definitely should have been severely punished for what he did for the group of students!! And at the end all he did was a short apology, that didn't even feel sincere to me? So no, I didn't like how he got his happy ending with Kan and everyone was so okay with it, like he had just made some silly pranks.

Overall, I did enjoy Eclipse. It has a great story and message. I do wish it touched the homophobia topic more, there was potential for it to be more plotline. But it's a great drama.

BL Eclipse
WilaFox29 October 2022
I'm speechless... I have to admit that I wasn't too impressed at the beginning, but later it started to pick up and I couldn't wait for the next episode. Recently, GMM TV has been surprising with really high-quality BLs that carry a much bigger mission than just the love of two boys. The chemistry between Akk and Ayan was amazing. You can see that the boys really got into their roles, which was absolutely brilliant. I really liked the plots and denouements. Hell, who would have thought it would turn out like this? All the time we are convinced of one thing and suddenly we find out the other? Perfection. The story was also flawless. Full of twists and turns that would never occur to me personally. At many revelations, I stared at the screen with my mouth open because I simply refused to believe it. I definitely recommend it to all ten.

Warning: Spoilers
The script was unbelievably bad. The characters served absurd purposes. Why, why really why? I think they could go beyond that. I gave the drama a good rating only for the main couple's chemistry and acting performances. I hope their company will give them the opportunity to act together in a good drama with a better script.

The development of the relations of Akk and Ayan characters progressed beautifully. The development of Akk's character was shown well at the beginning and end of the series, but as a teenager who knows his parents, I still don't understand why he puts himself under unnecessary pressure on certain issues. When he confessed to his parents, they formally comforted their son. Whereas we were indoctrinated throughout the entire series that the consequences would be bad. Anyway. It was very nice that Akk showed us the methods that Ayan used while showing her love for him all this time in parallel.

8+ rating, seriously?
saniguptaqwer4 November 2022
I can't believe that i've waited for 3 months for this series to get completed, so i can watch it without any further wait.

Was it worth it? ???

Absolutely not!

What was supposed to be a thrilling plot with a supernatural twist in it, turn out to be just another highschool cliché bl drama.

I don't understand when they have such a great cast, then why didn't they put a bit more effort (and money) in their script, Both male lead could have shown a great chemistry, And i know that because i remember both of em from 2 of the most famous bl dramas "1000 stars" And "Not me" But i guess because of the horrible writing , even the chemistry btw them feel forced and tiring.

They had all the element from episode 1 which could've made this series a complete masterpiece, but because of this mess of a script, it turn out to be a complete mess..

I do not recommend this series to anyone, who's looking for something new and good, Plz save your precious time AND DATA...

Mysteriously Mystifying Myth
sreelekhaburla29 July 2023
The trailer sure emitted a mysterious image of the story to be adapted from a novel yet the portrayal was not refined (i might be wrong). I didn't quite understand the relation between the rule breaker's atonement and eclipse, as the plot narrates. Do people these days believe such things still?

CP First-Khaotung didn't work or me (no intention of being disrespectful to the fandom) Khaotung is a better actor than First. He portrays multiple roles flawlessly to the correct intensity, may be due to his strong foundation at performing arts.

Neo and Louis are a candy to my eye every time watch them. Ploy is adorably a smooth actor. She doesn't outshine the others but creates her presence, simultaneously. I definetely loved the romance of Ayan's uncle with his special someone as revealed at the end with a twist.

Props used through the storyline, logo hoodie or the chain with eclipse pendant are quite attractive. Compared to the series, MV was impressively shot. Coloring, tune, concept, costumes and videography were all on a different level.

Storyline felt non existent.
ephsilonnot16 September 2023
From my understanding of the show the creators were trying to send a message about power dynamics and accepting change in the world while showing how someone can be brainwashed into the system without realising. But it sounds better on paper than it did in the series, because it almost felt like the writers did not do anything. The actors might be the face of the project but a good production is built on the shoulders of writing in the most primitive stage.

This show had a good cast, with genuine chemistry and acting ability but the story just didn't seem to take off. There's only so much you can do with long never ending stares without a proper storyline.

Completing it did feel like a task and most of the time I felt uninterested to even know what was happening because the mystery was not created well. Moreover the climax to the stretch also felt underwhelming.

Saddest part is it felt pointless.
